Update disc. Ougon Musou Kyoku Cross. You need the original game for it, so it’s an update and not a sequel. It adds George, Rosa, Erika, Dlanor and a new character, Black Battler, and then Will, Bernkastel and Lambdadelta will be released later as free DLC, like Jessica was. It adds new stages too. It comes out at Winter Comiket, which I believe is the 31st or something like that.
I don’t have it yet.

I saw some gameplay videos though. Dlanor’s voice is terrible. Erika’s is okay though.

the third seems to be more of a explanation of the new characters.

Absolutely love Erika’s voice,
the first impression I got from those Chiru PS3 previews made me needlessly worry
since they largely showed only Erika’s calmer scenes.
Dlanor is okay though her ‘die the death’ delivery is great.
Are you trying to imply that I will be buying this game?
I don’t think this is the site to be asking for “alternatives”. I did that years ago and was banned for a year. You’re either going to buy it or look elsewhere at some other source. Just a heads up.
Anyway, I like this game a lot but the only complaint I have is the fact that everyone’s movement animation (stances & move performance) looks as though their frickin stiff as hell that it urks me to no end. I wished 07th Expansion would do some work on the animation of this game after they polish it up a bit more. ( T _T)

Okay so, now that I’ve played the game, in my unprofessional opinion:
Rosa is great.
George is okay. I have no idea what his QCF QCF C and Meta supers do though.
Erika is mediocre.
Black Battler seems pretty similar to regular Battler, only now he has a super kind of like Beato’s towers.
But Dlanor? She’s terrible. Everything about her is pathetic. Her moves are weak, she’s slow, even her glorious DIE THE DEATH move is horribly weak. Her animations look terrible too.
In response to what George’s EX & Meta do, his EX disables an opponent to tag out for about 5 - 10 seconds as the tag meter refills…also, this EX does absolutely NO DAMAGE. His Meta is simply a counter move with some rather strict timing (not sure) but the damage is rather good. George seems to be a rushdown character like Jessica but with more mind game mechanics due to his number of feint normals (taking a page out of Ken Master’s book, huh?).
As for Erika, I find her rather good to some degree. Her range is ok and she seems to have a good air mixup game when comboing into her DP to 2-part air rekka (if you want to call it that). I mostly like her because her meta is hella funny (I’M STALKING YOU FROM YOUR WINDOW).
Dlanor needs help seriously. It’s funny but her EX is even stronger than her Meta and it’s easy to combo into so you’ll be better off spending your meter on it or canceling Metas rather than trying to pull a Meta of your own. Her shield assist special is good as it stays on the screen at all times until it’s hit or until you cancel it. I admit that her damage sucks but everything you do must be in some sort of fashion be combo into her command grab. It’s the only move she has aside from her super that does tons of damage out all things in her move list. With such a small frame, I would have thought that she would be a faster character but rather she’s a tank…she can take damage fortunately and her range is long as Erika which is both good.
Black Battler is just Battler with faster & better specials. His EX is a riot and I love it.
Overall, This is a very welcomed expansion to the game and I like the fact that 07th Expansion used the “Tsurupettan” song for the school stage got me cracking up when I saw & heard it and it instantly became my favorite stage out of the game. At any rate, can’t wait till the last remaining 3 characters get released.
Rosa is absolutely awesome. 6B anti air, 236a (if no bullet), 623ab.
Dlanor seems awkward. Basic reset with her though, 2A2B2C 623A, if they neutral or forward tech, they’ll be in range of your command throw.
7th Expansion wants their fighter to be hipster by being on PC and the niche 360. :sad:
I almost wanted to just because I’m just that nitpicky.
Since Erika is ‘around the same age as Jessica’ which is 18 (which her VA backs up),
she’s not young enough in the Loli sense even though she’s short.
so the only ones would be Evatrice and Dlanor.
There are more female characters in the roster than males
even though the majority of them look perfectly mature,
I guess that’s enough to brand it a Loli game.
Aaanyways, regarding B.Battler:
Beat arcade with Battler on your team to unlock him,
from there on you can beat arcade on hard with B.Battler on your team
to face a suped up version of him with eveyone’s meta abilities at the end
I’ll say this much, I never want to go through the hell of fighting Super B.Battler again. That shit is so broke on so many levels.
Is Black Battler something they just made up for this game, or did he actually appear in the original material? because I don’t remember him at all.
This technically is still the original material like Higurashi Daybreak was for them, since dimension hopping shenanigans and all.
But as for the SN, nope.

Black Battler is basically an embodiment of the “Battler’s family culprit theory”, like Eva-Beatrice is an embodiment of the “Eva culprit theory”. He appears in episode 7 and 8, but he’s not called Black Battler, nor does he wear a dark suit. He is however a murderer and extremely cruel. Though it’s all just an illusion.
