When you hit someone you build SP for your partner.
And to my knowledge i don’t think there is a start button for the keyboard. Massive oversight there.
You should be able to map it when you start the game. Just click on it and map buttons. Goes in order as such

I don’t know what the other ones below that are though.
OMG I can’t jump when Ange has super, Ronove’s standing C is a godly anti air, and whoever said there’s no invincibility is wrong. Beatrice has some on her dp, the cpu showed me that, and metaworld into metasuper with Eva worked for me.
Edit: just frame advantage i think
oh okay. thanks for clearing that up for me.
You can’t map keyboard controls at all, and there is no start key for keyboard. I figured it out though. I have to use Xpadder because the game does not recognize the motions for my Hit Box because it’s based off of the analog stick of a PS1 pad, which is why I was asking about the keyboard controls, but since I have the Hit Box plugged in I just mapped the start directly to the Hit Box. This game is coded like shit.
What is the requirement to use the “Exclusive SP super?” I can’t seem to get these to come out.
Is it just me or this game incredibly weak… like jumps seem crappy, but I guess if there is no anti-air thats not to bad… but then everyone just does chain combos into knockdown or super and then pressures with whatever from the correct distance. LIke Ronove just stand around pressure with long distance normals to roses until you guard cursh then do some combo that doesn’t really do that much damage and isn’t fun at all to do. Basically game seems okayish on the push pull footsie game level, but combos are boring… and systems seem boring and too limited.
Also lol.
Wow, I didn’t think it was possible for any fighting game, but I hate every character in the roster. They all feel so samey and nothing really sets them apart, aside from a couple characters who have projectiles. As a cash in for a visual novel it’s a decent attempt, but as a fighting game it’s just boring.
the game is good… especially for the first release. plus theres no point complaining about combos when it just came out yesterday, and its no more limited then blazblue honestly.
Sadly I’ve been having the same feeling, but I think its the developer strategy to work on small things than add on.
I’ve been grinding this game out ingame and in the program folders since last night and I
No idea what I’m doing in this game but it’s gorgeous.
Loved the game but for now the only thing that i hate is the total lack of crossups, if you attack from behind characters still hit in the same direction, they dont look back (reminds me of SFIICE port for PC-Engine). Hope that this can be patched (im pretty sure they will upgrade the game soon, popularity of the game in Japan is extremely high at this moment).
I think Kanon has a pretty reliable crossup with j.B.
I’m just finding it very limited. Most chars all do the same basic chains, canceled/ended into either knockdown, special move, super, tag, or meta. Then just rinse and repeat. Most likely you want to just cancel into meta and go from meta super as much as possible seeing as you can do it over and over and over again without burning meter. Being able to only dash cancel from 5.C is limited as far as mixups go too.
Biggest problem is the over all lack of responses to inputs. I’m not sure if it’s wonky or the meta cancels are just really strict.
edit: are attacks like Battlers 6.C unblockable? The coat swipe? I think Shannon has one of those also.
I was surprised at just how good the game was even though it was only the first release,
so I’m having faith that patching will remove the existing annoyances as the game does feel somewhat limited.
Considering the size of the Umineko fanbase, the game won’t die anytime soon, so they’ll have plenty of time to iron the game out. And since they left all of the Chiru cast (except for Zepar and Furfur for menus) and music out,
there’s probably gonna be a sequel somewhere down the line anyways.
no, it just does a chunk of guard bar. shannon’s 6c is a projectile.
I could see it growing if they add some sort of lobby system and some depth as far as what you can dash cancel.
There needs to be dmg tweaks across the board imo. Matches last far to long.
Maybe it’s 6.B then, the one were she bows? Not unblockable means I don’t care anymore. To much start up to be made effective.
so their no JD( just defend) or IB ( instant block) Touch system my only reversal options?
I’m liking the game. It looks fantastic. Music is gdly. Kinda gives me that VS feeling to it too (combo into KD or ender, repeat. lacking a lil in oki…but that’s where you becoming creative comes in). Game is fucking fast. Kinda reminds me of KOF where u have to use normals for anti airs (depending on character). Game that relies heavy on footies is kinda boring imo. So I’m glad that’s NOT the case here. Rush that ass down and bank on good specials and supers.
I am a tad disappointed you can’t direct throw (no 4+b+c). But whatevs.
Fun game is very fun.
