How about this: you can talk aaaaaall the shit you want about my lack of skill in a game, if you can beat me in the game. In the meantime, Im just gonna say that you suck at all fighting games, except sf4, and sometimes marvel.
but…i’m better than you in the only game that we’ve both played… this is next level stupidity right now. there must be a hidden camera televising my reactions to your posts cause there’s no way you’re this dumb for real. Your point seems to be that you can beat me in games that you have played and that I’ve never played, whereas my point is that in the ONLY game that we’ve both played, I’m better.
you’ve single-handedly convinced me to stay in school, thank you elliott.
Hmm… quiet thread needs some further clarification from E-Tier player:
For the record, no member of SRK has been around during the course of all the games I’ve played. Therefore, no member of SRK knows how good or bad I am at certain games. Am I bad at a lot of games? Well, if you had to lump a person into categories of “good” vs “bad” based on whether or not they’ve scored top 5 in a major tournament, I’d say I suck. But the majority of fighting games I’ve gotten seriously into have never been part of a major tournament in this part of the world. Or if they have, it was before I knew about the existence of SRK.
I can’t even list all the fighting games I used to play because it’s almost a waste of thread space. But I was really into them in the 90’s, and I had all kinds of people play them at my house or at the arcade my parents used to run as part of their laser tag arena. Killer Instinct 1&2, Samurai Shodown 1-4, MK 2 & 3, SF Alpha 1-2, Virtua Fighter 1, X-Men COTA, Marvel 2 (low tier), these are some games I spent hundreds of hours on growing up. When a new game comes out, I’m gonna give it a shot and, if its fun, I’ll play it when I get the chance. This doesn’t mean I’m now on a quest to become the best in the world – that kind of goal takes dedication that I don’t feel like investing in a video game.
James chose to focus on 2 games. That’s cool, I didn’t. We have 2 very different paradigms and 2 very different goals. Critiquing each other based on opposing paradigms doesn’t make sense.
The Samurai Shodown series are still the coolest fighting games I’ve ever played. I’m currently spending most of my gaming time on online Risk. If anyone wants to add me on ConquerClub,, it’s Elliott Spook.
TL, DR; I suck, but I’ve spread myself through more games, and I’m cool with that.
The fact that you lost a single game to me, even after picking a random ass character because you felt bad, is very telling of your skill as a SFIV player. huehuehue
