Ever try OSU? It’s basically a PC game that works on the exact same principle as EBA, except with the mouse instead of the touchscreen. It’s fun, but unfortunately the music selection is pretty bad. 
Funny, I was just talking about that game a few weeks ago. I was joking about how I wanted to get one of those [media=youtube]oE2APo_EORQ"[/media] to play the game on. And I thought the music selection was user-generated. Can’t you grab more note-charts from a site like you could with Beatmania?
Osu on a tablet would be pretty great. And yes, the music selection is user-generated and you can grab more from their website, but the vast majority of it is anime theme songs and jpop. Not all of that stuff is bad, but I’m generally not a fan. If you like that kind of music then the game has an awesome music selection.
