Sure he doesn’t have the power cosmic or class 100 strength but come on man. He’s indestructible and has adamantium claws and ninja skills. Wolverine is the ultimate offensive and defensive weapon.

Maybe. But, he’s easily peaced out by a lot of the Avengers villains. If anything, you’d use him more for stealth missions and shit. And he’s more or less the ultimate offensive machine. Defense isn’t an issue for him. You want him mad. Not pushblocking supers and shit.

I know that Captain America beat Kang the Conqueror and I’m pretty sure that he beat Korvac too. If Cap could beat them Wolverine would tear them apart. Besides Kang’s more known for his planning skills than his fighting ability (which is good not great). Korvac’s screwed up in the head (like most super-villains) so Wolvie would probably take advantage of that too.
Thanos is a whole different story. Even though he’d probably have one of the best chances of victory compared to most other Earth super heroes it would still be a small chance. Toe to toe I think Wolverine could hold his own though. He would more likely use his intellect and cunning to try to get to Wolverine. As of now right now however that isn’t much of an option for him.
I’m really surprised how much Wolverine is taken for granted around here. Let’s forget for a moment that he has unbreakable bones, an incredible healing factor, and claws that can cut through nearly anything. Logan has forgotten more about combat strategy and fighting technique than most people know. Wolverine also has the best hand-to-hand combat skills in Marvel if not all of comics.
All in all he seems pretty powerful to me. His power is just more subtle than most.

Wolverine gets knocked unconscious by breathing. the only reason you know his healing factor is awesome is because he routinely gets the shit kicked out of him. Nah. Highly doubtful. Like VSlash said, Cap has the most hand-to-hand combat compared to Wolvie. The only thing not stopping Wolvie from being utterly destroyed IS his healing factor and the adamantium bones.
Like I said, Wolvie is a much better asset in the stealth department.
