Osama Bin Laden is dead

You would have had some amazing luck finding a defense attorney in this scenario.

see, this is what I was hoping to hear from more Americans, over this.

Hell, they interviewed some lady up here in Canada, who’s father died in 9/11, and even she said she didn’t feel like celebrating the death of ANYBODY.

I still say America gave up a little of their soul in order to gain a minor amount of happiness

he’s had money. dude was rich.

MLK didn’t have to deal with an Islamic extremist in the middle east killing thousands of innocent people. Why would his thoughts during the civil rights movement in the US mean anything to the events of right now?

Goddamn I wish I could just slap the jackasses quoting MLK’s statement across the face. I’m going to celebrate Bin Laden’s death. He masterminded the deaths of thousands of innocent people and you want me to NOT be glad he’s dead? Go fuck yourself. I’d piss on his grave if I had a boat with a GPS that could point me to it.

It seems like all of Pakistan knew where Bin Laden was but us… why did Obama even feed people that lie of being assisted by Pakistan?(we may have, but I doubt it was by choice)

He hid in plain sight in some resort town for god’s sake… if the middle east gave us this much trouble for someone hiding in plain view, this war will never end…

Bin Laden was only one of many people the U.S wanted to get their hands on…

i thought the exact same thing, they laughed and cheered when thousand of innocent people died, and when when we do the same thing when we finally got the man that responsible for this, and people got upset

Because I would hope you learned something from then.

Hell, Nazi’s did WAY worse, and even they got a fair trial. I understand what ObL did was horrible, but if you don’t see the flawed logic inherent in this situation, then I guess your country hasn’t grown up since 9/11

He said that at time where HE was the one being terrorized in a fuck load of places. He didn’t have to worry about crazy middle eastern extremist, he only had to worry about hundreds of home grown terrorist that like randomly hanging people for no reason. The very fact that you forget the context of when he said it. You’re looking real dumb there sir.

Re: Pakistan-
As I understand it the Pakistani government is fractured. The ISI operates without the central government knowing what they’re doing.

This still sort of assumes that people weren’t already trying to stage attacks. I’m not exactly sure why people seem to think that more people wanting to attack the West will increase by a significant amount, or that the competence of these people will rise.

I don’t really feel like going over your posts and getting into the individual reasons why you’re wrong about a bunch of things. But, just so everyone is clear, the above number is bullshit.

Pakistan isn’t going to do shit. And if they wanted us gone, the people who knew where bin Laden was would have given him up. The fact that it couldn’t happen (the people who knew where bin Laden were sheltering him) is an indication that we were in the right for going into Pakistan. And while Pakistan may not be pushovers, they don’t want to start shit with us, either. We’re already on their border, and India, who hates them, is on their other border. On top of that, we’ve been giving them insane amounts of money to help us out/STFU. We are one step away from pulling their pants down and spanking them.

Thank you sir I wholeheartedly agree

Sooooo is he actually dead or not? SO many people have been saying he’s still alive or a prisoner somewhere…

Which Nazi’s? The ones they caught, ie turned themselves in, got hung. The ones who resisted were gunned down in cold blood. Many were shipped to torture or death camps in other nations, or done worse to for their scientific knowledge. The ones who played ball were given a safe haven. It’s much the same.

He resisted, both with a gun and hiding, he even fired, and they gunned him down.

Heck even if you were just a common criminal and the cops busted in on you, as soon as you move for a gun you’d be dead.

I really wish people weren’t going out there way to give Osama an out on this. I definitely agree with you that it was a necessary to take Osama out though.
But honestly seeing someone make a statement like this:
"Thousands of soldiers dead, over a trillion spent, numerous freedoms restricted, ridiculous security at airports, even more anti-American sentiments all around the world, countless civilian casualties…

Yeah, we made the right decision going after Osama. We totally won."

Makes me wonder what would be the better solution then?

People are being happy about America. Some people can’t fucking stand that.

Their internal narrative is that the world/America is a bad and/or evil and/or corrupt place. Anything that doesn’t fit that image must be dismissed.

I still think Pakistan would give an overstretched US military enough of a sizable headache. Just the sheer geography of the country alone would promote a prolonged and costly campaign. Of course then you have the reverberations from the rest of the Muslim world, etc…

Lol at people in this thread somehow typing “b” instead of “s” when typing Osama Bin Laden. Unless you’re deliberately trying to how is it even possible?

And as for the “typo” on Fox News: keep it classy Faux, keep it classy.

(This thread is so hilarious between the dark comedy and the sheer idiocy of some posts. Thanks for keeping it open, Javi and Ronin.)

Muhammad Christ this thread exploded, though it’s apparently because Musolini finally suicide-bombed himself to no avail like the idiot he is/was, so I guess it’s understandable. Let us celebrate his death.

Hmm…the news is still lapping this up, but considering it came in so late last night, I suppose I should have expected to die only after today. Still, I give this like a week of coverage before it dies down, especially if something else “big” happens and that gets all attention. As stupid as people are, most of them will eventually notice that nothing much has really changed.

Anyway, time to multi-quote like an asshole as always.

…God damn it. Why does that manga keep popping up everywhere to remind me to read it? Stop it! Get out of my head!

So you meant just like how in real life “justice” is generally ambiguous and differently perceived if people even believe in it? Okay.

The sad, horrible truth. It’s not like there wouldn’t have been any conspiracy theories about this even if he was brought back alive and paraded around in front of cameras before we (somehow) gave him a civilian trial that inevitably ended up with him dead anyway. Even then, some people still wouldn’t believed he actually ever existed or that he was even the mastermind of the attacks.

Sigh. I can understanding being cautious and skeptical about things, but conspiracy theorists for the most part seem like they delight in sheer activity of being delusional.

Also too true. On one hand, I can understand them wanting Americans to at least suffer given all the civilian deaths and such caused by American activity; although, like someone said, us leaving and even Israel leaving or dissolving wouldn’t solve all their problems since people are petty and problematic regardless of nationality. Similarly, I’d like to think that the constant silence against extremists is more about typical fear of death/reprisal than implicit support, but it’s still utterly damning none the less.

That said, in continuing my rare optimism, as much against religion as I am, I’d like to think that it’s not ultimately the problem just because the Middle East had existed with pretty moderate Islam rather well for a long time before the Ottoman Empire and done pretty damn well; Saladin was “that dude”, for example. If only all religion could become moderate again…

Zombie jihadists who suicide bomb onto others, spreading their zed-infection. They’re be slow yet durable and take way too many pistol shots to save yourself if that’s all you’re caught with in the open since they have a fast lunging attack. As such, remember to always have a hand grenade, a heavy machine gun, a rocket lawnchair or Max Brooks nearby.

Then again, I guess it wouldn’t all that bad since if you got hit once, you’d able to spray an explosive amount of killer blood from your mouth at the small price of forcible conversion. Just don’t get hit twice. I hear something really bad happens…

 For some reason, the funniest thing to me is how they depicted Biden. He just looks so…odd.

Yes, that’s a possible problem. Not to get partisan (especially since I’m gradually coming to hate Democrats more), but, even somewhat agreeing with acerbic how this won’t guarantee Obama will win re-election, so far all the Republican frontrunners are extremely weak and/or fucking insane. So even if Pakistan wasn’t horribly shady about its almost transparent connections to and sympathies towards terrorist group, we’d still be pretty fucked if a (neocon) Republican made it into the White House.

Sigh. Why are all the prominent Republicans so batshit?

 It’s such a hilarious image to picture Al Qaeda Wonder Twining that shit down.

Yes, please do get laid, Musolini. Much like everyone else, virgins want nothing to do with you. So please think of the children.

Obviously, some liberal media source switched the names of those quotations sinceThe Maverick knew what he was talking about. [/Fox News]

As somewhat said, hilarious typo considering.

Although, I do have to wonder if this will be brought up later on closer to elections given Bush The Lesser’s dumb ass couldn’t wait to comment about this “victory”. I have to hope that it will bite him (read: Republicans) in the ass considering it will probably the closest thing to “justice” that ever ends up happening to him or Cheney.

Pfft. Everyone who knew Pakistan was a country knew that Pakistan was a likely hiding place for him as opposed to fucking Iraq–sadly, those people didn’t include most Americans.

Actually, now that I think about it, I really do have to wonder how many people even knew where the hell Pakistan was before last night. (Or if they even still realize it’s a country that’s separate from Afghanistan, if they can even find that on a map…)

I’m pretty sure rsigley re-posted that MLK quote specifically to mock Big Beef’s religious spamming, so, yeah, that was kind of the point unlike half a dozen people re-posting the unfunny “Hide N’ Seek Champion” “joke”.

911 Jihad Street isn’t coming up for me. I think Google Map search is broken.

…I feel kind of sick just reading that headline. Maybe the world really does end on May 21st, 2011 when President Obama and Rush Limbaugh apparently hug it out.

Yeah, he had a dog, but his dog split.

Ugh. I normally don’t agree with you on anything, but we really haven’t grown up at all, especially since we’re so unused to get attacked on our own soil by foreign powers unlike a shitload of other countries. Hence why part of the reason why it’s remained “9/11” or “September 11” instead becoming like “The Second World Trade Center Attacks”–yes, I know the Pentagon got hit too, shut up–even though other things happened that day, as horrible as the attacks were; I mean, shit, at least qualify it with “9/11/2001” or something.

If anything, we’ve devolved into like Civil War II: Electric Boogaloo: The Re-Colonening: Acedia Edition.

Also, stop invoking Godwin’s Law.

I’m in tears right now. I knew them crazy Chinese would release something like this. Was wondering why it hasn’t shown up yet.

Thank you!
