Well I’m allowed to announce this to the general public in case you didn’t know about Rocky’s Replay’s latest news. They are switching locations again(December 18th tourney which I will be posting next Monday will still be in their current location.) closer to UCF on University and Goldenrod. This is pretty awesome bec…ause they will now have a full bar at the new location and able to sell beer/drinks again.They’ll be fully up in the new location by January.
Also a side note, December 18th Rocky’s tournament will have something special that I can’t really advertise outside of here, it’ll have FREE BEER included with the 10 dollar door fee(Just be sure to tip their server girl.)Oh and 3 dollars in tokens this time.
I really want the december 18th tourney to be something to remember.

My friend Frank is hosting something of a 386 ranking tournament. I’ll be co-T.O. really hoping I don’t screw that up. But there’ll be SF, there’ll be BB, and if we get enough guys, Frank wants to run TvC as well.
I was giving some thought to playing BB there in the first place, the comp’s all local and I’ll know most of the guys there.

I wouldn’t know, dude. I literally almost never stray from the Orlando & Dhalsim threads. I got burnt out of running through multiple threads when I was a premium member. I prefer to just stick with a few, instead of juggling a ton.
Anyone else picking up NBA Jam for 360 today or this week. I plan to.
BTW SPektrum is coming from Jax on Thursday night to go to see Skrillex at Roxy’s only 15 bucks including the ticket fee. He’s a very popular DubStep DJ so it’s a Dubstep night. I already have my ticket as well
I wasn’t super interested in getting NBA Jam, but now that it has online play, that’s going to up its replay value exponentially… I just might have to trade in Red Dead and a few others to get it. The fact that the Wii didn’t have online mode available is straight up ignominious. I might wait until after 3D tournament on Saturday to snag it.
i’ll prolly pick it up, for ps3 though.

Picked up my 360 copy yesterday and like any EA game, it reeks of bad decisions.
The controls are all wrong, in old school NBA Jam, you only needed pass, shoot, and turbo, even in Showtime where they had jukes, spins and the alley-oop, you still only needed those three buttons. On the Wii, you only have three buttons, and they set it up like Showtime. On the 360, the controls are mapped all wrong, and they moved some commands to their own button, IE the pass button is no longer the steal button on D, and spin/juke has its own button. The best part is, the controls are entirely unmodifyable. Good shit EA. Now I remember why I quit buying your shit.
Truth be told though, control issues do not keep this from being a fun game (though the jury is still out on weather the lack of Reggie Miller does). The announcer’s still wild, the party game modes are a fun digression, and the boss battles are just the correct ammount of bullshit, plus, online. And for anybody who wasn’t at Alex’s house when we were playing 2v2s, shit gets mad hype.
I’ll still be playing the shit out of this, just as I did on the SNES version back in the day. You want to run some games, go ahead and add me on Live.
