All right, dudes, Jebailey made an awesome suggestion for dinner - Mellow Mushroom. Awesome pizza joint, and tonight is ‘Pint Glass Thursday’ I think is what it’s called — order a certain selection of beer, and you get to take home a nice embroidered pint glass! Only been once (last month) and fucking loved it. Jebailey, Ian and myself are in thus far. 7pm if you guys are down.
Brett heres a link to everything you need to know about rooting your hero: [ROM] CyanogenMod-6 for Hero CDMA - V6.0.0 (09/18/2010) - CyanogenMod Forum
…just simply rooting your phone wont do anything as far as performance goes, it just allows you to mess with the firmware. After rooting it, I recommend installing the CyanogenMod-6 Rom which includes the Android 2.2 upgrade.
After that I would download LauncherPro(its like a replacement to the whole HTC Sense and stock Android 2.2 GUI) and makes the phone feel alot faster and fluid IMO.
Then if you really feel like you need to push the phone to its max, I’d read about and download an app called SetCpu.
Remember doe…the Hero is a soon to be outdated phone and only has a 528 MHz processor…rooting and doing all this stuff however makes it a new beast!
@Ian:
If your moving away from iPhone I’d recommend Android…not sure whats in the AT&T department in the Android arena doe.
Check out Sprint, they have better deals and family plans…plus youre a programmer and may like to dabble with the Android sdks out there, maybe create an app or two and make some money lol.
If you really want a phone with power and have the money, get a Nexus One…think T-Mobile is the only one that would activate one for you doe :-/
Thanks for the tips guys, I’ll definitely be gaming with you when I get the chance.
One last thing, RCs, how do you do it? I never learned back when I was playing on pad. Do I roll after I input the motion then hit the attack button? And what do I do with it aside from making specials invulnerable.
There is a little section about rc’ing, the way I learned was tons of time in training, failing then getting flash to show me the proper way at a random ucf tourney, good luck lol.
Nopey nopes ed!
They are postponed until otherwise due to…something…and might take place in Rocky’s next semester.
And we nearly went on 2 ish pages talking about a game that’s not super…
This community is going places!
I got a lot of feedback from just one day at Wackadoo’s, I just might enter the CvS2 tourney at Rocky’s if its cheap enough. As far as my play, I just need to learn to press better buttons is all for my K-BCS team. Character by character, each of them i need to press better buttons; Blanka Balls should punish more than what’s going on; I need to get dem combos down for Cammy; Same with Sagat…and master that short hop RH.
Check Jebailey’s facebook, I made a rapidshare file with all you need for the CvS2 emulator ready for download and unzipping…
It all depends on what you’re runing and how you’re running it…but after some tikering and messing around with video plugins. It should run close to 60. As far as if it works on your computer or not Jebailey was pre-destined to fail and explains what happens if you do too!
Don’t even bother IMO. Only reason to have a DC stick was for marvel, and now it seems they have moved on with the new live and PSN downloads. Everyone should be able to supply a set of PS2 sticks over DC.
GGs to everybody last night, had a good time. That crib is too nice! Definitely looking forward to some more fun games tonight. Fuck, this is going to be a loooooooooooooooooong shift.
Lucky for you you live close by, and didn’t drive in the wrong direction for a full 10 minutes before you realized it. I spent just shy of one hour from the time I left Nestor’s to the time I walked in my front door. Went to bed at about 2:45am to wake up at 8. So… not sure if the word “lucky” is applicable.
You’re better off grabbing a samsung galaxy s or an evo 4g for the money at this point than a Nexus One IMO. HD2 is a good option if you don’t want to spend the money for the previous phones but still want the same power and performance minus a few features, although buying a new phone without 4G would be doing yourself a disservice at this point. And while sprints plan is the cheapest, it’s easily the worst out of the providers when it comes to coverage.
As of now 4G really doesn’t even exist it’s just marketing but when it fully comes out then it’ll matter so it’s nice to have a new phone with it now. Not trying to start any arguments but I don’t get why you’re so in love with 4g that Orlando doesn’t have.
