I haven’t been to East Campus in years, but I’ll see about rolling through for some early Marvel. Since I was garbage at MvC2 but decent at BlazBlue, I think I’ll try the new-style layout (top: L M H bottom: S A1 A2) and see if my fingers don’t immediately betray me.
Thor has potential, I think. The Power Dunk reset option is probably the best thing he has going for him right now (that’s not a backhanded compliment…that shit is GOOD), but if you can reliably set up his super throw from whiff DHCs, that might also help him out. (It all depends on where DHC into super throw puts him on the screen…if it automatically summons Thor right on top of them, and Thor’s super throw is fast enough, maybe you could do dirty shit like telegraphed whiff super to bait the opponent’s whiff punishment, DHC to Thor and throw them out of their startup.)
He’s got good supers and good damage…the only thing to really hold him back will be his kinda crappy normals (short-ranged, some awkward geometry, a bit on the slow side). But as long as his Mighty Strike/Mighty Smash/whatever resets work midscreen, he should be able to offset his range issues with big damage and big fear factor. At the very worst I expect him to be lower-mid.
