I remember watching and/or reading that after there muslims become a certain percentage of the population of a country they start asking for special things. So asking for Shariah to get recognized could be a matter of time when it comes to the number of the population.
It was an interesting hypothesis; not sure how true it would be. Really interesting implications too.
You already see that in European countries. What other proof do you need?
Indonesia was Buddhist, once they became the majority, hey passed their nonsense laws. Same in Burma. Iirc Pakistan separated from India St because they wanted it their way. I have to check up on that one
Funny thing is, they would never ask that here. Its like they’re abusing how pussy most European countries are, and have become. No Muslim population here would dare attempt that type of nonsense. They just hide in silence until they do what they do, but openly as defiant as they have been in European countries, not happening.
That’s easy to say now when they’re such a small percentage of the country. Muslims always seek to enact their religious customs and laws in society at large, the scale at which they do so changes with how many are present in the country. If we had the same percentage Europe does, we would have the same problems. Especially once they have positions of political influence. The Muslim mayor of London recently banned revealing images of women on billboards and advertisements. He utilized feminist talking points to justify this, but it’s quite interesting that such a decree falls so well in line with Islamic teaching.
As a foreign minority that has traveled through Europe, their even-keeled and open approach to foreigners in general is one of the highlights of being over there. So it’s just sad that religious fanatics are taking advantage of their relatively placid nature.
Not saying it’s all sunshine and rainbows, but people seem more welcoming overall, and sadly some groups are taking their kindness for weakness. Which is why you’ve heard of German and Swedish female volunteers at refugee camps getting sexually assaulted and even murdered, with many quitting with days or a week of starting. Cultural and religious differences aren’t recognized or acknowledged, especially regarding the treatment of the opposite sex.
But the major problem I’ve seen are the low birth rates. Although not as bad as Japan were you might go through an entire day and see only 7 Japanese couples, in Europe you definitely get the sense that people aren’t reproducing at the same rate as other groups, which is why many EU countries offer ridiculous incentives to have kids, and its still failing. Germany is no.2 in the world in low birth rates, right behind Japan.
Meanwhile, I will occasionally see a worn down Muslim wife with her husband, complete with an entire brood of rambunctious youngsters- and a dual-seated stroller with more babies at a supermarket.
The original statement mentioned a certain percentage needed for it to become a political issue. If you look at the way evangelicals have behaved, you’d get a good sense of what its probably like when certain groups have the demographic numbers.
So other countries are probably dealing with our Jesus Camp bullshit except it doesnt come with bacon.
I was gonna refute @pertho claim about Islam becoming a problem voting block like evangelicals, but then I remembered that millenials are cowardly as fuck so they would enable shit like that.
