A more accurate reason why “no one gives a flying **** about MvC 2…” or why the fighting game genre has been “killed” is because self-righteous employees and employers “in the business” like you who think that just because you throw an excuse for a tournament the fans should kiss your feet and throw money at you. It doesn’t work like that. Let me guess, after you banned Sent, Cable, and Mags (but not Storm, lol), you were going to turn off time limit “because winning on time isn’t honorable fighting” and make the event single-elimination and one game as well. Hell, you probably would have drawn up a homemade bracket that looked more like a street map of Fairfax that would have given some kid on your payroll a bye through the semis and quarters straight into the finals so he had a better chance of winning that “awesome Master Chief stand-up that I want!”
Seriously, if you want to help the community, learn about the game, learn how to throw an event, and especially learn that this isn’t pokemon, SF players rarely ban powerful characters and instead learn to use and deal with the tactics. Hell I wasn’t even going to this event, unless you had thrown GGXX in on the side, but it pisses me off because I’ve seen enough store/arcade employees think they are doing the community a favor because they try to throw one tournament every decade and they don’t even do it right in the first place.

I go to the C3s, NC tournies and I just came back from Final Round 11 for Marvel. I fucking rent vans, which I lose at least $100 each time doing, organize the trips and drive Marvel heads to major tournies around the East Coast and I’m fucking killing the scene?

You know what, let me squash this entire misconception before any further things are said or in your case, done:
I am in no way an employee of Gamecrazy, which is why I can’t advertise tournaments, even through word of mouth. If I did, the boss would get in trouble for something a customer did and he would be out of job. I am an independent person acting upon MY OWN freewill, so it wouldn’t be fair to punish a store for the acts of one person, nor would it be fair to punish someone for coming to this proposed tourney on their own freewill.
The tournaments are exclusive to members of the store who buy things and cater to the store for us to afford to hold these tournaments. I don’t make the rules, I just follow them.
I never once used the N-word in addressing you, so I think you could show at least the same respect in vice versa.
I have competed in arcade tournaments in the past, not as many as you, but I have had my fair share.
In all fairness, I will apologize for the statements I made earlier, because it’s not right to judge a fanbase based on one person’s actions. As a result, I’ll simply leave this forum.
