lol thanx slash. You the man
I started working with a friend of mine to code up an offline program that will incorporate the point ranking system and the report cards. Might also see if i can incorporate the ladder thing as well. Will be interesting as a project for sure.
Itâs a little early to try and make a program to incorprate both ranking systems. In fact WAY too early considering we barely started ours and still plan to make adjustments as we proceed further. In all honesty an additional data entry system is not something were looking for right now if ever. The ladder system is simple and we want to keep it as simple as possible on all levels. If in the future we decide to do something like that youâll be the first guy we contact .
I was actually looking for a blank copy, for printing purposesâŚ
Posted a blank copy on the blog.
Adding the ladder system to the site is a piece of cake, regardless of how much info you guys decide you want. Simply put, who challenged who and what was the result. Submit and site updates with the current ladder. Anyone who wants to submit challenges would be able to do so as well, and then youâd have records of challenges and a history of the championship.
All someone needs to do is post what happened and the ladder generates. Anyone interested in seeing the history would be able to look it up. Itâs part of the growth of the scene thing. granted, if no one produces the data, it doesnât get entered in and no one can see it, but really, the more we work together the more cohesive things become, and the more data/history the better, imho.
Iâm a visionary i guess. I just wish i could give you guys the same vision. maybe you wouldnât be so hesitant.
This pretty much sums up your vision. You are more concerned with the data and the history than the actual competition, leveling up, and expansion of the scene. We want to do things a certain way and you wanna do things your way. Inputing the same data on your site after we already put it into our thread is not something we feel is necessary or something we want to incorporate at this time. Why cant you just leave it at that? Why do you keep trying to conform us to do what you want? Were certaintly arenât forcing you to do things our way. In fact, I even volunteered to participate in your system. At this point itâs not clear what the final system will be so until it is, there really is no need to discuss this further. As both our systems progress the community will decide what they like and thus the final system will be created. Perhaps THEN we can incorporate your site to keep accurate data and hisory. We do not wanna cause drama so please leave it at that and good luck

Hey there. I enjoy SF4, but like playing it in person better than on live, because Iâm partially psychic, so I can sort of cheat, but its still fun. My fav characters are Ibuki, El Fuerte, and Akuma.
Thanks :c)
It doesnât sum up my vision at all. Itâs about level up, training, expansion, and competition. I just donât think you see the bigger picture, which kinda sucks cause if you did you probably wouldnât be so resistant to it. but thatâs your kuleana. The reality is, it doesnât matter if you WANT to incorporate it or notâŚif the data gets recorded, iâm going to use it if for nothing more than testing of the system. co-operation would really make it easier, and thatâs all i actually am asking for from you.
Level up - Historical data showing progress, where someone has come, how they improved.
training - match recording, analysis, report cards, teaching of tactics. specified days set aside for training by experienced users.
Competition - a centralized location that displays in moments the scorecards of any registered player and whoâs got the most wins. the ability to see who uses which characters are used.
I kinda thought we were helping each other out, not competing. We have very similar goals in mind, though different ways of doing it. Seems like you are far more interested in stopping at what you guys have rather than expanding, and that every time i talk to you about this i get a pretty heavy shut down/negative vibe and a lot of resistance. It just feels like youâre very closed off to new or different ideas.
Itâs pointless to discuss this further sorry
So how is everyone feeling about the new characters and changes through Super? Games been out a month now so what are you guys thinking?
Obvious topic change is obvious
Now we just need a Sam T, then we can form Team Sam TCBY. Awesome!?
Seems as a lot of people didnât really move on with new characters.
Well I even mean changes to the nilla charas
I play Cody pretty exclusively. He was the only character announced that I had no interest in at the time of announcement. I had anticipated that Ibuki or Guy would be my favorite of favorites; it didnât turn out that way. I have been super busy since the game came out, so I havenât been able to understand all the character changes, but Iâm still pretty pleased with Super.
Edit: Crap. That pun was totally unintended.
new characters are awesome imo, the only ones i havenât put any time into are juri & hakan. and while i might not pick up makoto or guy as a new main i still like them, and its awesome seeing what people can do with them(that goes for all the new characters). mostly been playing Adon and Dudley myself.
most of the changes to the vanilla characters i like, i havenât gone in depth with every single character. but i like there being no more 1200 hp, dps doing less dmg, guileâs shades, and ultras doing a bit less as well. not jumping for joy about how Gen has changed, but he did get some neat buffs along with some of the strange changes made to him.
edit: GGs Travis, also i love all the new music.
Thoroughly having fun with U2 Rose in Super, as well as U2 Chun Li. Been working with Hakan but he may be beyond me at this point. Iâve interest in the rest of the new characters to a degree; new toys to find the limits of, as it were.
GGs earlier, Kurt.
Akumas U2 makes me sad lol. Useless compared 2 U1. Although i can cross up tatsu into U2 against fatties like hakan but no one uses him lol. He was nerfed a lil bit but overall not a big deal. I have fun spamming wheelkick with Juri but thats about it. Also like shanking peeps with Codys knife. He should be Mexican!
Panda and I have both been hit by our friend Dannyâs Akuma doing cHP xx Teleport xx U2. He didnât know exactly what he did either time until afterwards but it was still pretty damn dope.
anyone playing sc2 beta?
