What what? They’ve had a year to find out SF4 is terrible. This isn’t a new game lol, nor are these new players. I think not, anyway. I don’t know, I have no idea actually. But I’m really just saying I’m bored of SF4, and I was hoping people down in Salem played other games. Apparently they don’t though. =\ It’s too bad.
They all left within a few hours of us showing up too, and Edgekun himself only stayed until 8pm. Kinda early if you ask me. Are at least ten hour sessions too much to ask for? Perhaps I have been spoiled.^^
I try to get Jon to come to these things but he is an over achieving asain and school starts on monday so no dice. Its a shame to because we go about 50/50 when its balrog vs bison
It’s pretty apparent you’re bored of SF4, but uh, so are a lot of people. I don’t know, it’s lame to be like you have to stop liking this because I don’t like it. People can still play other games while playing SF4. It’s not the best game ever but it’s the newest game and it will be played, there’s no reason to try to stop that. I understand being frustrated/bored with the game, and that you’re over it, but like, I don’t know man stop trying to drag other people down with you. :razz: It’s a tad more ridiculous just because it was apparent you really don’t know if they’ve had a chance to really find out if they like the game for themselves. You’re silly.

I mean honestly to be someone who wants to play the less popular games, you should be GLAD you’re down in the portland area. Portland seems a lot more open to pretty random games, I mean shit bbh plays jackie chan’s kung fu fighter and whatever else. I assume by AC you mean accent core(?) and there are good accent core players down there. There’s even VF players, KOF players…
Yes, people can play other games while playing SF4. I do. I was just saying Salem does not. The only game they play in any kind of serious way is SF4.
I appreciate the diversity of games we can play in Portland. I appreciate it so much I was hoping it was the same elsewhere, but this is not the case. I’ve been talking about Salem, Mechanica, not Portland. Like I said before, I’ve been spoiled.

School started the next day and I don’t drive so it wasn’t up to me how late I stayed. This is why I was pushing for it to be on a Friday. If it was on a Friday, I could have stayed and racked up a couple more 10 straight wins on you and whoever else it was that I played.
I play a lot of HD remix. I also used to play Guilty Gear XX seriously. The only reason I haven’t gotten into Blazblue yet is because I can’t afford to buy a new game right now lol. I’m super lucky I got my TE stick for xmas, I wouldn’t have been able to get it any other way.
Is the reason you’re saying this cuz we pretty much had SF4 running on at least 2x TVs at any given point in the day? 
Part of that was people enjoying and having fun on SF4. I didn’t want to feel rude and be like “Hey, i know you’re having fun on SF4 here, but free up a TV!” when there were more folks playing SF4 on it than peeps who would play something else.
I know that Ronnicle, Slash and Kwyjibo seem to play SF4 pretty competitively, but most of the Salemites there (Kwyji included) were open for trying other stuff. Even Ronnicle was excited about playing some Vampire Savior. For that matter, I know three or so friends who I’d like to think play some mean GG (better than my BB Nu anyway. =P ) but simply weren’t able to show. Next time I’ll happily bring different consoles but as I’ve said before I wanted to keep it simple for the first meet and just worry about one console’s worth of games.
As for staying later, I’ll try and buck up for next time. =P That weekend had been real busy so I wasn’t exactly rested up for the event. ^^; (That’s my excuse anyway! >.>)

Putting your event on friday would conflict with casuals at Jeromies. Rather than planning the few events available to the Oregon community on the same days, it’s better to spread them out to get the most amount of play time for everyone. If you can’t show up to one or the other that’s cool, but we increase chances of people being able to show up by having events on multiple days.
There is always stuff happening on Thursday/Friday/Saturday. If you want to get games in, you should show up.
Thursdays? Maybe try Wednesday, or Thursday morning. I haven’t heard of nothin’ on Thursdays since Versis. (maybe I’ve held random things on Thursday, but there is nothing regular on that day, as far as I know)
Err yeah wednesdays. Considering we start 9pm wednesdays it might as well be thursday since thats when the majority of the session takes place.
Either way most people will end up sleeping through anything during the earlier part of thursday (or later in some cases) so thursday may not be so hot.
Sun-Tuesday are usually nothing going on unless someone deviates from their usual days of open houses, etc.
The last wednesday of every month is free play all night at ground kontrol. This month they replaced it with a new years party later on.
I dunno if people are still interested in doing that, but since Jetays is on wednesdays I imagine not.

Hopefully next time I’ll get to play some of you guys from Portland that I didn’t get to last time. Also I hope I am able to stay later but who the fuck knows what will be going on with me getting a ride back to my place.
Since school started its looking like Sundays are gonna be our best bet. I wouldn’t be able to make it if it was on a Saturday seeing as I am gonna be heading out to the ranbats going on up in p-town. Weekdays I’m busy with school and all that goodness.
