I’m planning on only being there for like 2-3 hours or so.
I will be there any time between 1 and 3. I have something to take care of in the morning
I’m going to show up at one and I have no idea when I am leaving, its really up to my brother because he is driving me.
My claw is better than you.
Be there when I wake up and get dressed, so more around 2 then 1
all you people are lazy ass people lol is there anywhere to get a beer near borderlands??
Hey, I gotta drop my dad off at the airport tomorrow. Not sure what time though.
But when you come down here we’ll go get some good shit yo.
aight sounds good
Had a lot of fun playing with whoever it was I played at borderlands, looking forward to whenever its gonna happen next.
So is that stick slash threw broke?
Also, I don’t know who it was I talked to about soul calibur 4 but maybe we can get some matches over xbox live or the next time we get together at borderlands.
We will see if you truly are unbeatable.
Alrighty. Back! (and having trouble navigating this strange new SRK. Need to see if there’s a way to get the old theme back or something)
I once again wanted to thank everyone for showing, and the great matches. It was really fun for me getting to meet fellow enthusiasts, and a vivid reminder just how much I need to practice at SF4. =P I don’t imagine the next Borderlands meet will be terribly soon (since it’s on a per case basis at the moment) but any thoughts or suggestions for the next one down the road?
Jesus slash threw his stick?
Goddamn mang, gotta contain dat rage.
No hulk smash.
EDIT: I’d show up if I could, but I’d need advanced notice to figure out transportation.
We talked a little about having darkstalkers be at the next one, I would really be interested in this!
Is that a possibility?
Its the only other fighter that I care about right now besides SF4
Wasn’t even his stick. I think it was Panda’s?
Ronnicle -
I’ll go ahead and bring my lappy next time. If worse comes to worst (or whatever the spelling is) some Vampire Savior can be thrown down on there. Yay USB sticks! :bgrin:
Slash has the femme fatale TE stick, I’d be really surprised if he threw someone elses stick.
It’s not my place to tell people what to play but if the purpose of getting together is to get exposure to new players and get better, then you’re wasting your time playing DS. I feel like people should take advantage of the time they have when they can play with new people or learn new stats in order to be ready for the tourney in April. I don’t want to hear people bitching that they didn’t have an opportunity to practice when everyone was playing DS or something like that.
/my 2 cents.
Actually the stick “throwing”, I thought I was setting it down, hence the letting go, apparently the chairs are A LOT lower than I thought they were, so it dropped straight down. And no its not broken, I first looked at the guide button because it should have been P2, but there was no light, so I opened it up, but then remembered that the guide button doesn’t work.
So apologies to those that thought I was throwing it down.
GG’s all.
Edit: And like GrayFox said, if this is fun casuals, DS is fine, but if we’re showing up for legit, lets get Salem better, then playing DS isn’t a priority IMO. I will still be going to portland, depending on the days stuff gets run down. I’ll be pming something to Pasqual/Kurt/Team Portland on something that can be added to the team roster or something like that.
Slash one up’d gootecks!
I have a controller for computers that I would be using and hopefully my brother can make it next time as he is into vampire savior/hunter/darkstalkers as well as SF4.
Its not like we would devote the entire meeting to DS, just play some matches and have some fun.
I don’t know how long everything went on after I left but there would be more than enough time to get some DS matches in.
There would be SF4(or whatever else you would want) taking place on a tv anyways.
Let’s talk purpose then. I really enjoy fighters in general, and we all know that playing against other human beings is a hell of a lot more fun than playing a CPU all day long. Sure I’d like to step up my game in different regards (getting less predictable, better mix-ups in what I play, learning more intricacies of my character, etc) but I personally had gone into this just to have some fun and experience fighting different people. Mission accomplished for me.
Different people seemed to have different priorities in coming to this. I’m sure a lot of the Portlanders who came to visit are practicing up their game for this tourney in April, but I don’t think that means we should exclude games just to maximize SF4 time. Leave a TV up for SF4 and then let others play other games they’d enjoy, imo.
Real Talk, if I threw a stick, you would KNOW I threw it. Straight up.
Next, Seriously, Gootecks has never thrown a stick. Considering THAT rumor started at EVO when he “lost” to a pad playing Fei Long, it never happened.
Well, I was sitting right next to you guys when Ronnicle won that last match and I eyes might have deceived me, but I saw some serious pounding on the buttons and slamming on the stick before the “non-throw.” All I’m saying is, my stick’s 'spensive and if I found out someone set my stick down like that, I’d be pissed.
Either way, whats past is past. Panda knows that if I had fucked it up, I’d have fixed it. Simple as that
