Honestly, if its gonna happen, just start it up ASAP. Tomorrow is sunday so there ya go
should have started gaming like 3 months ago honostly.
Wait…wasn’t SF4 out in like…March? Thats like 9 months
As said, I need to run it by him beforehand to make sure there’s no conflicting events or the like. =P
Alright. I’ll go ahead and see if next Sunday is available. I’m guessing we’d all perfer something afternoonish, ala noon or so? Gimme a time frame to pitch as well, and I’ll get this all squared away.
you’re the pioneer you set a time, man up or pass the torch.
So do you actually have anything worth contributing in this thread, or should I just start referring to you as negative nancy? I’m trying to be considerate and make sure that we get a time that works for everybody. =)
I’m actually with Mackinzie on this one. It’s not a matter of being critical toward you; it’s simply a matter of people as a whole are indecisive and hate decision making (in my experience with a wide variety of people, anyway). That’s what sets a leader apart from everyone else: the ability to make a decision for others to follow.
You’ve done your research, you’ve made important things happen for getting something going in Salem. I commend you for this, and I’m sure many others would, too. Now you have to go the next step and just make a decision. You call the shots, others will show up. The first time may not have the greatest turn out, but that’s to be expected. If you continue to have poor receptiveness for a day/time of your choosing after a few attempts, try another day and time.
Again, I commend you for what you’ve done. Now make an executive decision and run with it.
good job:tup: id be down to come play in salem
Fair enough, and thank you for putting an explanation to your words. When all I see is generally negative and snarky comments being thrown out it’s a little hard to take them seriously. Having some justification for criticism makes me a lot more willing to take it to heart. =P
Ok then peeps. I’m going to try for 1pm Sunday. That’ll give folks time to sleep in, grab some lunch and then show up. I’ll e-mail or bug Issac in person and see if we’re clear, so stay tuned for more info and confirmations.
Sounds much better. Good work. I approve.
road trip to salem to check out the venue sunday, got 3 spots in the car.
p.s. i’m only negative when it comes to PC versions, and street fighter 4 in general. however now i have a goal in sf4 so… things will change, not my dislike for the game, but my overall attitude twards it.
lol. I think I’m pretty much in the same boat you are. I really don’t enjoy SF4 for the most part (way more of an ASW kinda guy. Guilty Gear, BlazBlue, etc), but with the knowledge of peeps to play against in the area i’m definitely willing to give it a second chance.
1pm next Sunday sounds legit. Just get back to us with a conformation on that time and date please.
Also, Clarification on what needs to be brought to the meeting so everyone will know what to bring to make the best of the experience and keep people coming back.
Hopefully we can get at least two TV’s going seeing as most of you aren’t into SF4 apparently.
Personally I’m only going for SF4 so I hope it gets a good amount of attention.
whats is your goal?
also im probly down to take one of those car spots to go to Salem.
If Sunday is going to happen. Count me in.

Alrighty. Just verified and we’re green for meeting at Borderlands this Sunday. He asked how many folks I had in mind, I mentioned there seemed to be 4-5 Salemites, and potentially 4 out of town folks who would be coming down.
As said before, meeting time is 1pm (or halfway close if you can manage. Not like we’re on a tight schedule here. ). I’ll be bringing my own TV and 360 for this event. Depending on where it goes or what folks want I’ll bring a PS2 / Dreamcast for subsequent meetings, but I figured we might as well start simple with just current gen games. (BlazBlue, SF4, maybe SSF2THDR or other crap I have on my 360 hard drive)
Ideally, I’d like two more displays (three total). We can live with two, but the less time people are sitting around and waiting for a turn the better. So yeah, let’s try and coordinate who else can bring a TV and console. (360 or PS3. Doesn’t really matter to me, as long as we can game!) I think if it were just Salemites meeting we’d be fine with two consoles, but if the Northern folks plan on playing as well then we could be limited on two.
Anyway, if you’re able to provide stuff (or plan to for that matter) let’s post here so that we don’t have more consoles and whatnot brought than necessary.
