Lol I dunno apparently foreigners can’t play video games
Haha damn Daigo for kicking ass at SF4…or Mad Dog Jin from Korea being awesome at tekken or Malik from france taking SC4 lol :-p
This conversation makes about as much sense as I have skill in Street Fighter IV.
But seriously Fox…how often do we make sense :-p
Looks like another day for me in training mode T-T.
What’s up my oregonians?
Since you asked, a whole lot of nothing.
I’m the only staff member present in our IT department, since everyone else got called to an all staff meeting. ( I guess hourly temps don’t count under “all staff” ) Fortunately the phones are really tame right now, but still boring as hell. ;o;
Or were you asking for something more fighting game related?
Nah, just bored as hell, thought I’d see what everyone was up to.
I need to get in some games against a real opponent. blech.
SO RONERY
last night i played 4/5 hours straight in training mode with a buddy.
it is interesting compared to playing versus mode.
probably the same thing is going to happen today.
maybe some online.
Er. This may be a bit late but…

Wait, “Gonna” learn BBCS? Do you not play BBCT at the moment?
Actually, I’m guessing not due to lack of XBL or PSN information. =|
Eeeeeyup. Haven’t got a PS3/360 of my own, but my stick works on 'em, and my roommates have one, so I’m sure I can pick up the game.
I have nothing but time and nothing to do with it. Anything going down today?
I’m in the same boat. Then again I assume people are hanging out at jetays tomorrow so I don’t want to overdo it.
ill be online sometime today.
thats about it.
sense there is no where to go in salem to play and this term just finished i basically sit and play street fighter all day when im not out and about.
ive been hitting up online again recently, its not as bad as i remember when i get a good connection.
I recently bought the cord that hooks my 360 up to a comp monitier so all i have been doing since schools been done is watch tv and play SF4 at the same time.
I agree that Live is not that bad in terms or laggy-ness but i just cant stand the mashers. When i play vega that kills me. And i know “get better at the links” but that shit is hard.
I don’t know why everyone hates online so much.
then again you guys up in Portland have options.
Salem doesn’t have shit so online is the only option.
Recently we actually had something halfway close to the starting of a fighter scene. There was a general big gaming event at Chemeketa (July 09 or so?) hosted by it’s local gaming club. Lotsa Rock Band (Still Alive is kinda dead to me anymore. ,_, ) and FPSes, but there were 2x dedicated PS3s for Soul Cal 4 and SF4. (We also had a PS2 setup to the side for tasty Guilty Gear) There were quite a fair number of folk I recall, who were actually interested in the fighting games.
Point being, SLASH. Hooker! Go talk to the club higher ups and get us a venue for fighters! =P I know you’re a part of that club or whatever it was. ( Nevermind that I still have to talk to Borderlands about venue-ness. >.> )
Also for the record, once I move out to an apartment I’d be more than willing to host some fighter nights. Only problem is that this is waiting on me getting a full time job, so uhh, don’t hold your breath fellow Salemites.
P.S. -
Whatever the hell happened to our Wunderland? I hear they don’t even have konami music games anymore, and just have those retarded ticket games now.
Man. . . I remember a golden age back when that Wunderland had UMK3, SFA1, MvC, Oratorio Tangram, and even a free play SF2 machine in the back.
. . . I miss old Wunderland. ,_,
yeah when SF4 first came out i was hyped about online play, but i found that i improved much faster playing offline. things like kwyjibo just said timing links and what not, are a pain to learn mid match online, and even after you learn it itll feel different offline so i dunno. basically when i lose online i dont leave with as much info or knowledge as i do when i lose offline, but thats not to say there is nothing to be learned from playing online. especially if you can get a decent connection.
Actually i was ABOUT to be part of that club till i discovered portland lol.
Plus all the gaming shit that the club has was borrowed from k-con…you know the place that bought 5 wiis, 2 360s 2 ps3s 5 laggy 37" tvs and 2 laggy 42" tvs but no games because games phase out so fast…according to them.
Thats why i dont call it a gaming club…i call it a dnd club.
Also it was the wunderland higherups (the old guys) that made the decision to pull ddr and shit. Its the same managment and even they were baffled as fuck.
