I think its been great so far. No serious issues with input lag or anything, everything feels pretty responsive. I’ve got around 30 matches in and have only had 1 match with unplayable lag.
Most of my fights have a bit of slowdown as the stage and characters are introduced, but the second they say FIGHT things go smooth.
Same as above. Played 36 matches so far, only noticed lag in one of them. Even when I get 0 or 1 bar connections, it might lag for the first 5 or 10 seconds, then the lag disappears for the rest of the match and it’s almost as good as offline. Could just be because the game is still new, but so far I got no complaints.
Played it last night for the first time just to try out the netcode (didn’t own the game before the patch), out of 30 badly fought matches (lol) the netcode was excellent for every single one of them. There was a single instance of lag that I recall, and it was extremely brief (like a few frames), other than that it was excellent all around.
Now time to put in A LOT of training time to figure out how to play these ARC games. (never tried BB/GG because they looked ‘slow’, might go back to try if they’re as quick as this game)
I had a theory that the netcode is so good because every normal has at least 5 frame startup but then I looked at some frame data for KOF13 and most normals have at least 4-5 frame startup. So yeah, why hasn’t Capcom/SNKP/Netherealm contracted netcode to Arc?
man I have that problem where all of the results show up as 0 bars… that and it seems difficult for me to find a match despite being in so cali where i’m sure there’s tons of people playing

Still holding up solid imo and I usually struggle it feels like with online lag. Marvel is unplayable for me, SF4 is fine in general but has its moments. Persona has been a breath of fresh air for me. Have about 50 fights in, only 2 lag filled matches. I’ll take that.
I just end up playing those 0 lag matches and it turns out their pretty decent. It’s a bit laggy at first but when the lag settles it’s alright. BTW i’m on psn
More annoying than the lag is the amount of locked rooms in endless. Just about every room that came up for me was invite only…I really despise the fact that the game lists lobbies you can’t enter…dafuq.
Definitely the best netcode I’ve played in any fighter yet. UMVC3 was absolutely unplayable, both in the interface and connection issues. SCV was a step up, but this is amazing. Only a handful of unplayably laggy matches, and the online interface is intuitive and quick
Well people generally say that xbla has better lag than ps3 cause everyone on ps3 loves to have wireless but for ps3 folks you shouldn’t worry cause the lag isn’t bad the only problem I find is that when looking for lobbies everything has 0 bars so I just join anyone and the lag will be fine. In rank matches i’ve been getting mostly 3bars for everyone and it’s been lag free
So on PS3 my netcode is working perfectly in game, but often after matches (or creating rooms) it seems to have trouble connecting to server. Maybe 1/4 matches it takes about a minute to try to connect when submitting stats.
Havent seen anyone mention this, Is this abnormal?
Is there some key to finding matches?? I tried to play online for the first time last night, and i couldn’t find any matches… Or is it that there aren’t many peeps playing?
I’m having the most retarded issues with player match and ranked match settings.
Here’s a list in no particular order:

[]No **SAME REGION **in player match section.
[]FAST CONNECTIONS FEATURE ONLY LETS YOU CONNECT TO ANYTHING THREE PING AND UP, YET STILL SHOWS ALL THE 0 PINGS (And in ranked, connects you to the closest fastest thing, which would be good UNLESS it’s still a goddamn 0.) AND JUST SAYS YOU CANT CONNECT TO ANYTHING 2 PING AND LOWER.
[]Waiting and letting the list load to show all the pings will usually make some names “magically” disappear in the ranked list. Or hell, just take forever to load the results. Sometimes, it will never load it up and you have to research just to make some people’s pings show up. (Example - A 3 ping user is on the list, but half the time you never know, because his name either disappears or loads for a long ass time and by the 8th research or AUTOMATCH, you finally realize the person has a good ping.)
[]Some decent 2 pings can’t even be connected to REGARDLESS of same region or not, simply because it says you cannot connect to the user due to their ping (huh.), yet it still will turn around and **THEN **automatically randomly match you up with them for a ranked match.
[]Looking at a list in general in the Ranked list and then randomally getting automatched up. Can’t turn this feature off. (annoyed me numerous times when I’d see the only 3 ping on the list, get ready to challenge and then… bloop, automatched to 0 pinger.)
[]Player Match list showing lobbies that are PRIVATE only. Why? Why show private lobbies that we can’t even join?
[]Player match room list never concurrent. (Player 1, 2 and 3 enter. Player 4 shows up and then player 3 leaves. Player 4 is still player 4… What? However, when a new player 3 joins, he still has to wait fourth in the line… WHAT?)
[]random freezes for certain players in player match rooms. Which will hold up the entire room until they either miraculously unfreeze and the whole room can go into playing (The 2 players respectively.)/spectating the next battle or the person gets kicked. And sometimes it’ll be the lobby leader. Which leads to…
[]Lobby leader leaves, whole room gets disbanned. What kind of shit? You don’t have an option where the lobby leader can LEAVE and let everyone else stay? Like connect to the second in line as the next lobby leader? there’s no option for that? I’d sit in an 6 to 8 man room sometimes and we’ll be having a huge session and because the leader has to leave, the whole thing just drops.
[]Not able to save other players replays.
[*]No labels that show up for who’s talking on the mic at whatever moment in a player room or during a match. (5 people on a mic and you have to play by ear who’s who to voice is not the best thing to go through.) No label at all to tell you who has a mic in ranked match when you’re going through the list either. You just know when you match up with them.

Seriously man. Please don’t tell me that most of this is just me, because I’ve been having these problems since I got the game. So if it’s just me, I will rage.
Something tells me they put the private lobby list on player match to let people know there are a lot of players on who just have private set lobbies. It should still have an option to be filtered out but at least it’s not like BB where you wouldn’t know if it was pub join able or not.
Does any game even have this other than maybe MvC2 (and IIRC, it only let you see who the two players playing in a match were talking, not the entire lobby)? And if it technically bothers you that much, flick the right analog stick (don’t know what that would be for stick or hitbox users). It makes this small menu temporarily drop down during a match (regardless of if your playing or not) and it has all the players, and who has mics on, and the mic box glows red when that person talks.
0 Ping isn’t that big of a deal. Most of the time a 0 ping means the game wasn’t able to determine the connection quality. I had smoother games on 0 ping games than most other numbered pings. Accepting a 0 ping can be gamble as sometimes the connection can really be that bad.
