I’ll drive you to northgate Keith.
If you want, I can have super scrub practice bouts at my apartment before the tourney takes place too.

Listen I wouldn’t knock the fed way comp as seeing they still have the tilt there, and there were random decent mall scrubs that would occasionally get a few win streaks. I guess in the end no one should be overly cocky going into this. But my whole reason for going to the xr gamestop is to the random conversations I’ve had with them in regarding fighting games, and well…they need THE rude awaking by ravishing rick rude. Plus I really want to see who bought the TE edition of the sticks and see if I can’t hustle in a play for sticks match.
Also daigo’s moving to the us? Wtrandom?
its pad only…
I know you’re from a rich family and went to public school. But that does not exempt you from reading. You are not allowed to use your own controllers, as is stated in the official rules. If controls are provided for you, and you’re playing on the 360 in-store display unit (also stated in the rules), you’ll probably be playing on the standard 360 wired controllers with the thick coating of mall slushy, Cinnabon frosting, and boogers that have been there for years. Yep, looking forward to it.
Don’t make promises that you don’t plan on keeping. I’m tired of being lied to by people named “Dan”. Cuz I’ll hold you to your promises. I really fear driving. I’m dangerous.
The Diago blurb was supposed to be hypothetical. I think someone told me that Rick Rude is dead. If you win a TE stick off of someone, you should burn it in front of Blake.
I’m asking for that day off, or at least not to work till like 5 or 6. So I don’t see any problems atm, though that doesn’t mean they won’t come up.
Anyways, I’m pretty, so you should take my words at face value.
Also!
Check it out, Chun-li Tutorial:

I don’t think it’s a total impossibility that they would provide a couple sticks to play on, considering they are going to sell a shit load of them. Now I’m not going to show up expecting anything, but it would be a nice surprise.
from the GS that I went to, they said that it strictly says “no sticks”, not even BYOS =[
too bad low short into EX lightning legs XX ultra isn’t that reliable…trust me I’ve seen Mandel hit it many nights, and then seen him miss it many nights.
Regarding Chun Bun, yeah, ex ll to ultra isn’t reliable. It actually isn’t worth it. Having ultra around as a move eraser is way more valuable. Besides that, ex ll to ultra doesn’t fully hit on all characters. A list was recently created on which characters can and can’t be juggled for the entire combo.
Bison, Guile, Abel, Chun-Li, Viper, Akuma
That’s the list of people who fall out. I know for a fact Bison and Viper fall out. Actually I’m also pretty sure that Balrog falls out too. But then again, the same place where this list came from, also stated that you cannot punish Ken’s sweep on block with ultra. And I’m pretty sure that’s not true cause I’ve ultra’d Ryu’s sweep on block. Unless there’s some really random, minute difference between Ken and Ryu’s sweeps that I was unaware of.
Keith-Count me out for now. If I change my mind, I’ll post up.
Hey Keith I gots the Everett one!
Also from the ppl that I’ve talked to at gamestop, it appears that the tournaments will be going down at the same time. So there’s probably a slim chance that you’ll try to snag up more than one spot.
I’m planning on likely going to the one in Bear Creek in Redmond. But I’m kind of weak, so somebody else can try to win instead of me.
Awww that sucks I don’t even play games anymore but the too tukwilla location are literally walking distance from each other, would maybe attempt that shit if they didn’t all start same time.
Ah so its like Ken’s shoryu fadc into ultra? Supposedly it works on every character, but the timing is a bitch and it doesn’t do the full animation most of the time.
hey guys, I’ll be at the 164th street GS by wal-mart.
So no sticks? We have to use the crappy 360 d-pad? :looney::rolleyes::annoy:
Anyway the closest gamestop for me is somewhere in Lakewood, i only played SFIV twice & not sure if i want to risk getting shot for a headband…Lakewood is too gangsta for me…
Wow lakewood got bad like that?
Also keep in mind that there is time between the dates of the tournaments to get your practice on, so by round 3 there’s a good chance that there’ll be a change in whose raw and what not…but man 15 days left for the game, and 19 for this tournament.
Also seeing that someone mentioned this, if they aren’t unlocking characters you can still get practice in by going to gw or narrows till then.
Not exactly. The thing about Ken’s shoryu fadc ultra, is that you can do that anywhere on the screen. Whereas with Chun’s you can only do it near/in the corner. Also Ken’s always does consistent damage, even if you don’t hit the auto combo part. Chun’s always dependant on whether or not the launcher part of her ultra hits, cause that’s where the damage comes from. Plus you can just throw out shoryu with Ken and if they block it oh well, dash up, and mix between grab/low short/shoryu (if you have enough bar for another fadc), if it hits, you ultra. Cheap ass shotos.
I would practice up hitting all three kicks and punches on the 360 pad. Its not a natural thing to do, and there is no button mapping allowed in the tournament. Unless SF4 has the same mapping of jab+short for 3 kicks and punches (99.99% sure it doesn’t) that HD has, this is going to make and break the game for some people.
I guess I’ll do the one in burlington if it qualifies.
Edit: Never mind I guess I’ll go with Paul to the Everett one or a Lynnwood tourney. Alderwood Mall?
