While I would have liked more people participating for a larger data base. We have
10 Hours of play time.
105 Games played.
8 Co Op teams.
13 Shoto teams.
16 assist gem users.
20 annoying colors.
26 Players with large amounts more BP than you.
22 Player with much less BP than you.
These show us a few things. First of all the average time it takes to find and play a game is 5 minutes and 45 seconds. (roughly)
Less than 10% of the people playing online are playing with a partner.
You will run into someone playing Ryu Ken about one every 10 games.
Assist gems are almost as rare. And there is roughly a 2% chance you will end up fighting the “common” shoto team with assist gems.
roughly 1 out of every 5 players shouldn’t be allowed to change their color.
And the match making system has about a 50% chance of mismatching your BP with your opponents.
People can feel free to keep posting information. Honestly though I would have liked about 10x the numbers we got as 10 hours worth of information can be wrong pretty easily. For now I won’t have time to personally participate, due to a new job. But this weekend I might be able to get a few good hours in.
I’ll likely post more ranked match results over the weekend, if only because it’s pretty interesting to see how they end up. Also, I lol’d at “roughly 1 out of every 5 players shouldn’t be allowed to change their color” because… well, it’s true. Color edit is one of the best things that barely ever makes it into games in general, but when you see what some people choose to do with those colors… >.>
Which leads me to wonder if its the AI that sucks at matching you for online matches (perhaps Capcom could improve this?), or if there really aren’t that many people playing online? It seems very hit or miss for me. Sometimes I can cook my dinner waiting for the game to find me a match and yet other times I’ll get 4 - 5 online matches back to back in a small amount of time. Also the fight request option in Arcade Mode seems to work better then going through the network menu. That’s the other thing I wonder about; does fight request go about it differently then through the network menu?
