Online Edition Bugs and Glitches (Problems) List

My DC rating is over 4 billion percent. That’s gotta be a glitch.

Also, once in a while I can’t choose rematch. The game will force us into a match, picking either the last characters selected or ken and ryu. The sprites for the characters are either invisible or have a glitched palette. That’s happened several times to me already.

I’m playing on the 360 version and am having a weird issue with audio crackling whenever the opponent gets hit, is blocking, or gets thrown. It’s especially apparent when playing against Urien and he’s blocking. This happens whether I’m playing online or offline.

Most likely mentioned already but I’m just confirming the random freezing in this game. Usually occurs after a match but it has frozen on me more than 2 times today and there’s nothing I can do but reset my PS3.

I got a freeze during a host migrating message after the host DC’d. Only major bug I’ve gotten so far, though I have noticed the music cutting out randomly sometimes.

if we want to have an even remote chance of getting capcom to fix issues, we should have an organized thread of proper bug reports. a whole bunch of whining and being indignant isn’t gonna do shit.

maybe something like this would be better:

  1. System setup - console, connection to TV, wired/wireless/disconnected
  2. game settings - filters used, GGPO smoothing settings
  3. summary of bug
  4. steps to reproduce the bug

example, completely fake:

  1. PS3, HDMI, wired
  2. all default settings
  3. the audio for the “fierce” in Ken’s strong-fierce combo is incorrect. it makes a fart noise instead of the regular punch noise.
  4. in single player or ranked match or local multiplayer, pick ken. walk up to your opponent and do the strong-fierce combo. observe the sound for the “fierce” hit. this happens only when the opponent is blocking; when he is hit or when he parries, there is no fart noise.

something like that. basically just make it super easy for them to find the bug, which increases the chance that they can get some fixes going. maybe they’re not even PLANNING to release any fixes, but doing this may increase the chances that they will, especially if they’re a bunch of reproducible problems that everyone is having. maybe.

and for this to be done completely correctly, we’ll need someone to triage the bugs, clean them up, organize them… etc…

This didn’t happen until today, but I’ve been experience a sound glitch on the PSN version. What happens is when I’m on the right side of the screen, the sound becomes very faint and muffled, but when I move to the left side of the screen the sound goes back to normal levels.

I think other people have been experiencing this online where a blocked hit will make a connected hit sound.

I think the problem with the colors happens if you change your button inputs. It doesn’t update the color selection with your new button scheme.

i found a bug where if your Necro and hold down taunt while ibuki is mid screen she just walks back and forth then into your taunt then parry then back and forth again OBVIOUSLY vs AI

I haven’t played Hugo on an actual arcade board… well, ever. I’m curious, did jumps delay on a full-circle/360 motion in the arcade version? I’ve never been able to execute a standing 360 on GGPO/nFBA but I’ve been doing it on command like nothing on 3SO.

I didn’t see this one after skimming this thread; PS3 version, setting the number of rounds to 1 does nothing. Also, I can’t seem to do the taunt for ibuki. I can do everyone else’s just fine.

The rest of my complaints is because I suck, but that’s not new.

I played through trial mode and found a few minor bugs that haven’t been mentioned yet. They don’t affect gameplay but if there is a patch, Capcom might as well fix these.

Elena Trials: In trial 4 a direction is missing. The combo reads c.mp x EX Rhino Horn > Brave Dance. It should read c.mp x EX Spin Scythe > EX Rhino Horn > Brave Dance.

Urien Trials: EX Aegis can be used to complete Urien’s last trial combo even though you are asked for HP Aegis.

Parry Trials: When red parrying Ryu’s EX Hadoken, if you’re holding back while you press try again, you are unable to block in the next attempt.

PS3 Version:

-I go to replay stream it only shows the same 20 replays over and over again. I thought replay
stream meant live games?

-Changed my menu music to something other than the rap song and now I can’t change back to the rap song (option doesn’t exist)

-Can’t hold start and hit a button to change my color because start chooses random.

re-select the song you replaced it with. there should be an option to reset.

X-box 360:

Chun Li Trial 4 I think? The one where you head stomp Hugo. 2 hit combo popped up on the right side of the screen but the text didn’t disappear on the left and I didn’t get a success pop up either. Did the trial again earlier today and it all went fine first try. o_O

I love playing games where your characters are invisible. Really tests out your yomi skills.

From what I remember Hugo’s jump is ~14 frames to let the 360 possible standing. Of course I could be mistaken.

This happened randomly and I don’t know what triggered it… After a match, I selected Rematch and I assume my opponent did too. Instead of starting the match again, we got sent back to the lobby and the game wouldn’t start. After a while, it started up but our characters were switched and the sprites had this negative effect to them.

Don’t know if someone has pointed this out yet, but I was Training with the Stun ON, and when I went to do some trials the Stun was still on. Had to go back to training to turn it off.
