ok i dont know what is going on here.

i had a old xbl name before and i got up to like rank 19 or something. i could join anyones lobby and it was good.

i got another xbl name and now my rank is at 1 again. i cant seem to join any lobbies now. it takes like 10+ tries to get into lobbies, and sometimes i wont get in at all. does my rank have anything to do with it?

it shouldnt have anything to do with lobbies. it may just be a bad as fuck night. i would say its luck.

yea it def shouldnt have anything to do with rank. but ive had this problem the last 4 days, and 4 days ago was when my name expired and i had to make a new one. maybe a coincidence, but its fishy.

blows dick.

did your original random name have button in it? xbox live loves the word button.

BAN

I remember Billy kane saying he couldn’t see players above his own rank at first, though he wasn’t really sure.
I don’t know if it’s related, but i definitely have new / more players than the first weeks, maybe due to my rank being higher.

other problems:

  1. almost every time i play a chun online, her voice is slightly higher pitched. it might be that everyone is higher pitched, but that it’s just more noticeable with chun. obviously i don’t really care whether the audio is at a higher pitch… the concern is that everything is running faster than normal, causing the audio to be resampled to a higher frequency.
  2. there’s a limited number of replays you can save locally, but i’ve still got plenty of hd space (GBs of it).
  3. after i got a message saying that saving replays is disabled until i delete replays, i deleted a replay, but i still got the error, and the option was still greyed out.
  4. yang trial: low forward into slashes doesn’t register if you precede the low forward with a dive kick
  5. urien trial: i think it was the 4th or 5th trial, but it starts with a standing strong. you can press strong and rh at the same time, and rh comes out and hits, and registers as standing strong.

I don’t think you can add anything to the beginning of inputs, but you can definitely add things in between them. I did that with a bunch of Urien’s trials. It’s actually kind of fun.

necros voice is way higher pitched too.

Having no “settings” in the Training Room pause menu is really annoying. I wanted to check out the filters and stuff but have to do it in other modes.

There is no “default” button on the screen positioning option.

In terms of the disconnect bug… I think I have every user currently beat xD

I was @ 0% the other day when I first started playing… now… o_O

Some other issues I’ve noticed

; Music randomly cutting out.
; Probably the most extreme bug I discovered, this could of been due to lag issues, but I was playing a Oro player and myself nor the other player had our models drawn on the screen… just the shadows. We appeared when struck by moves that change the color of the character (fire, electricity, ect) but other wise… invisible O_O

I’m sure if I payed closer attention while playing I could find some more… too focused on winning.

Wow this patch to fix all the numerous problems sure is taking a while…

Grreeaaaat!

This happened the 2nd day. I was having trouble editing, and I was too lazy to try to figure out the problem, and then I found out I could do cuts through Youtube.
Evo moment 37 Parry challenge bug. Starting on the wrong side.

havn’t been able to recreate this one at all…

i cant upload to the match server, any one else have this issue?

probably mentioned but can’t be stressed enough:

all messages related to not being able to connect to a match (session no longer exists, failed to host, and i think there’s at least one more) should be removed, and the system should simply retry (a new) connection, without the user needing to do anything. it’s a bug because the user can’t do anything meaningful with those messages. he’s just going to hit OK and retry.

i assume there is a meaningful error message when there’s an actual connectivity issue, e.g., “could not connect to internet, please check your connection”…

Actually, Derek Neal/Sven already commented on this and said it is Sony/Microsoft protocol to let users know when the connection failed to connect.

Ok, but why can’t they tell us it didn’t and then go ahead and retry?

-trolls suck-

wow… i completely missed that article. thx.

does this happen in sf4??

maybe everything seems worse cuz we wait so long, only to get an error we can’t do anything with. but even in a situation where i get it back really quickly… i’d still just be clicking OK and retrying…

the only time where this would be useful is if i only ever got the error messages, and never connected to a game. then i could actually say, hey i keep getting this error message, maybe the servers are down. but because i can actually connect to a game from time to time, the error just becomes like… ok why do i care…

fuck it i’m over it.

Coolest thing happened earlier. I was looking for a ranked match (360), when I finally connected to someone. As soon as the character select screen loads, however, it turns into black bars. Nothing would work, not even the home button, so naturally I reset my console. Come back to find out that I had incurred a loss.

Awesome.

EDIT: This has happened twice now…

The most funny thing is, that the achivements at the side are sometimes not counting right. Like yesterday I played some ranked match and went from 50 to 88 points in the throwing achievement in like 3 throws. And the same goes for the round achievement, lolz :D.
