if there were no shadow of a doubt, then there’s no doubt from which a shadow can be cast. so yeah i guess that works. unless it’s just night time… hmm…
This is exactly how it happened. We were using 360 version btw.
He invited me to the replay lobby and he showed me one of his replays. After it was done he left the lobby and let me become host (same room btw) so i could show him mine. He then returned and i tried to show him mine but there was a glitch or something cuz he was still being showing the first replay on his side of the connection. So we left the room while the replay was happening, recreated a room and tried again. it worked this time, but as soon as the replay was over it gave him the glitch with the DC menu.
thats basically step by step on how it happened. I personally think it went all wacked out when i became the host
So does that mean that flaws in the DC version is in 3sOE? Like the speed difference (from the arcade) and characters being narrower than the arcade since the DC uses a different resolution. Maybe that’s why that JP guy from Fubarduck’s stream said 3sOE wasn’t arcade perfect?
I thought we all knew they took the old console version and then modified it to be more like the arcade.
Why would they start again? If they port it from arcade its going to run differently on console, and they’d have to modify it again anyway. Dunno why you’re all upset.
Only way its going to be literally arcade perfect is if you use arcade hardware. I think with some slight modifications to OE though they could get it 99%.
We assumed that’s what they did but now we know for certain. We thought they started with the arcade then copy and pasted the console extras on to it but it was the other way around. They started with the console version, re-added arcade quirks and started to feed us the “it’s arcade perfect” bullshit. There probably is input difference between 3sOE and the arcade version.
I was doing a buncha Ranked on PSN, and as I got back to the online match menu at one point I pretty much went down to ranked and hit X to select it before the screen had even finished fading in. I was rewarded with the game locking up. As in, the menu music was still playing, but no controller inputs actually did anything. I’d been playing for a while at that point.
yeah i get lockups on the reg; usually after a ranked match at the challenges screen.
Added my last update/edit to the original post…
Essentially confirming what everybody already knew.
i cant join any game that has more than one person already in it. if i try i just get the spinning circles thing until i get booted… if there is only one person in the lobby or tournament everything works fine… any ideas?
Chill pills until someone gets video evidence.
because it’s worth his time and effort to forge that. so we need video footage to confirm.
So I hit level 20 in ranked (woo), and now my EXP bar says 1/1 and is stuck there. I’m assuming I’m still getting EXP but still… They didn’t expect anyone to get past 19? Da fuuuuck?
EDIT: Same as gaijinblaze but on 360. Quality.
+1 to the wonky disconnect rate on my end.
I’m not bragging about how high mine is or nothing. I’m just sayin’ though… the last person who saw it probably looked something like this.
I just got a really weird bug/glitch. Played a match against someone. I win and it goes the save replay screen, but it looks like this. Sorry for the blurriness, but I wanted to take it before the timer counted down. The game ended up freezing and replaying the music in a short, continuous loop.

For reference what is it supposed to look like normally?
I get this every once in a while when I hammer the Rematch button, haven’t payed anymore attention to it other than slight curiosity. Guess that’s no surprise when you consider how buggy this game is.
So for me the game seems to be getting worse in the last couple days. I keep getting the stupid error the last two days for ranked match, and its nearly impossible to get a match. Are they ever going to fix the match making? How in this day and age does this game get redone and be this bad online? I remember it being better on the normal xbox online.
Also, i don’t know if this something common with GGPO or what, but the skipping thing is really annoying. You have a green dot connection and still skipping all over the place. I’ve had double KO’s damage not happening even when you hit someone. Yesterday i think i tripped someone like 3 or 4 times in a row without recording any damage. I’ve had parries that turn into damage. The whole thing is pretty frustrating and pretty badly done.
Maybe i’m just ranting a bit, but c’mon man.
check out the mike z ggpo thread here. it’ll explain why things skip/rewind and what you can do about it.
is h-town HACKETTSTOWN?
Anyone recreate the Dreamcast menu glitch yet?
