I might be missing something in the first post, but are there hi-res versions of these that could be used for stick art/templates?

since they are meant to be sprites, you can upscale them yourself in photoshop by making sure Image>Mode is Index, and then scaling the image size by 200%, 400%, etc.

You should definately hand these to some good mugen creators, like the guy who did cartoon Orchid, Dragonclaw, Evil Ryu and Evil Ken.
