Yeah akuma looks meh right now. He doesn’t even have his regular combos. Tatsu no longer juggles. On the other hand, evil ryu has all that.
Evil Ryu has Akuma’s D+MK divekick and far st.HP, juggles SRK from Tatsu. He also stunned Oni pretty easily with a fireball FADC combo.

Evil Ryu’s shoryuken comboed off of his overhead, so his overhead is either special cancelable or plus frames on hit. Also I am fairly sure I saw someone do shoryuken fadc ultra 2. If the second part pans out then E.Ryu will have an easy combo into his ultra from his overhead.
This is insane, i wonder if daigo will pick up evil ryu now, assuming he isnt banned.

Thread title is misleading. Oni is by all rights another shoto clone, not an Akuma clone. That would be Evil Ryu

Just when Akuma got the advantage vs Ryu in AE comes in EVIL Ryu to ruin the day lol, someone should take some time trying to figure out these characters health and stun rate, stun would be very easy to calculate. I do not like Oni at all so far, I hope e.Ryu has some serious weaknesses.

Just when the game seemed to be finally BALANCED correctly, they add these two morons into the mix. I mean, they gave Evil Ryu stuff that Akuma should have had from the beginning. Instead we get ultra 2…lolololol

I think its too early to judge what ony or evil can do, this the first time the players were using them, it looks like they were trying to figure out their respective moves, time will tell, as more videos are being uploaded.
I wouldn’t be surprised if E.Ryu has 'em along with air fireballs lol, they should have named him Oni Akuma and name that blue thing Gouken something, sounds a lot better to me
