One, Two, The End! Dudley Combo Thread **Check first post before posting!**

The link is character specific.A LOT of dudley’s combos are character specific.(like in ajuggle the timing may be different depending of the opponent etc.)

The only long range hit confirm ground combos I’ve found is cr mp or st hk buffered into mgb. You also have -> hp on counter hit can be comboed into lp or hk.

ya I know it is, which is why I fought against the same char in the corner… as i said so in my post you replied too… but what do you tink are the best BnB combos? its easy enough to do c.lp x 2, st.fk… but what else is there… f.mk is hard to link into anything besides standing moves

Why would you do that anyway? Just do f+MK > cr.LP > st.HK xx fun n games

thast what im trying to say! i have trouble linking f.mk into c.lp or c.mp… i dont have trouble if its f.mk to st.lp/mp… but cr. is where i have trouble

It’s a pretty easy link, Kidney Blow is +5 on hit. And the cr.LP definitely doesn’t whiff even against Honda or Blanka.

Well, personally, against Balrog, I like to do:
Fa lvl2, st.mp ~ st.mp ~ st.jab xx jab MGB ~ st.jab xx jab MGB ~ st.jab xx jab MGB ~ st.jab ~ st.fierce.
(you can do up to six reps of st.jab xx jab MGB using the FA lvl2 ~ st.mp~st.mp~st.jab xx jab MGB setup, but 3 reps is the realistical and maximum number i can get)

As to regarding BNBs, well, everything is basically psoted around here.What i usually do after a meaty J.hk (if i safe jump), because when it’s meaty has A TON of psuhback( i don’t think even raw st.hk connects after, not to even mention if you add hit confirms before), i do after it cr.jab ~ cr.mp xx jab MGB, a hitconfirm not alot of people use.If it seems to hard( becasue it’s a one framer), you can just cr.jab ~ cr.jab xx jab mgb.
Oh, and after FA lvl2 i love to do cr.fierce ~ cr.jab xx MP DP.I don’t think it’s characters specific (meaning it worked on every character i tested it on, but it could be, didn’t get to test it on all chars).
I swear i’ll start to do hitconfirms after cr.mp when i use it in frametraps.

f+MK should be used after j.HK unless they are mashing SRK on block after the jump in, but no one with any sense will do that unless you are spamming the f+MK

I’ve been using a few combos that net roughly half life or so, sans EX/Ultra/Super. Easy input, and feasible, and follow the same basic skeleton with simple alterations to the last input or two. The first set of them are usable mid-screen to boot.

I do apologize if any of these were mentioned. I haven’t had the time to properly browse this topic yet, and it’s late =/

j.hk f.mk s.hk lp.dp hp.dp ~ 394 (change hp.dp to ex for those the would hp.dp whiff on ~ 406)
Remove hp.dp and add Ultra ~ 520
Remove hp.dp and add Super ~ 567

In the corner, change the last dp to lp.mgb ~ 412
In the corner, change the last dp to lp.mgb and add Super ~ 591

Change initial j.hk to j.hp into the last combo mentioned for optimum damage ~ 601

Is [laucher] ducking straight to HP jet upper corner only/character specific?

question- correct me if I’m wrong but is it possible to link st.HP from st.HP. I thought I read it somewhere but can’t seem to find it. If it is possible, do you need to plink it?

edit: nevermind, the combo is f.HK, st.HK but still, is there any plinking involved?

How is this thread not organized? Be more precise, I can’t improve it if you just say “make it better.” And don’t say the situational combos section, Dudley has like five million combo tools unlike Cody.

Uh it’s a 1-frame link so yeah most people plink it. Plinking doesn’t make any links possible that weren’t already possible, it just makes them easier. You don’t have to plink it to get the link but it helps.

is there any type of punch or kick you can do for cross up? I dont think dudley can… no move allows me to jump over the guy while hitting him before i land that I can combo from

I’m a 360 Dudley mainer and I was wondering switching all of my shoulder buttons around would mess up the combo inputs?

After seeing this I just had to try it. Its actually really easy. This combo utilizes target combo 4 and has three links. The focus attack at the beginning isn’t necessary for practice but you could use it in a match since you have to be really meaty with the f.mk in order to work the combo.

So you walk up meaty f.mk then LINK st.lp (make sure your stick is neutral because f.lp will do a different jab and the combo is not going to work.) you can press the mp almost immediately because this is the target combo part, as in no links/brains necessary. Then instead of finishing the target combo you LINK another jab, and then LINK your st.rh and then whatever you want.

During that tournament Marn landed this on a low health Dahlsim and added cr.RH U2 for a win. It was flashy and full of dignity. Its not terribly hard either the rhythm is pretty simple compared to say f.rh > st.rh. The crappy part is, if you just can’t do the links… you just have to practice until you can.

Are we putting up more combos or is it done cause he has alot of fun ones. I did j.rh, f+mk, s.lk xx s.mk, s.lp, s.fp earlier on Gief XD.
