I somehow always manage to choose the worst rated character when I start playing a game.
Also, I suck with Shotos.

Random fact: I refuse to use Sagat or Gief in any version of SF. Period. End of story. If you put me on a deserted island with a hacked copy of SF4 (and a TV, etc…) that only had Sagat and Gief, I would wind up playing frisbee with the disc.
I hate those characters so much, I simply REFUSE to use them.
I once got to the finals of an early Marvel vs. Capcom 2 tourney with a friend of mine. We glitched the game out and I ended up winning by time with my team of Venom/BBHood/Dan versus Megaman/Servbot/Sentinel.
I am always terrible at using the best characters…but I am bad at them before I even find out they are the best lol
So I use middle/low tier in every game =/
I didn’t discover how to tick throw until 2 years ago. Now it’s all I do.
I suck at 3D fighters.
I only choose original colors. No matter how cool the colors may be…
If someone throws me numerous times over the course of one round, the next round i make it a point to throw them as many times in a row as possible, just to piss them off. My record is 6 in a row so far.
I tend to end up picking characters with good corner pressure. It’s almost always unintentional.
I prey on people with that mentality.
I will throw them a lot in the first round, and spend the next round performing instant moves (or combos) like DP, eX SBK, flashkick, as they predictibly try to throw me more than I threw them.
Its a trap, and you fall for it hook, line, and sinker.
Play YOUR game, stop playing the game they want you to play.
Sure, you might pwn some scrubs with that, but I use exactly that trap on guys like you all the time.
Just some food for thought.
NOTE: I’m not saying that I’m a better player than you. For all I know, you might wipe the floor with me. Its just that the “throw revenge” mentality is SOOO easy to abuse for the other guy. I have won a lot of matches just like this…they start focusing on trying to revenge throw me, and I use that against them.
NEVER let the other guy plan your next move.
I don’t make it a point to go out of my way and constantly throw someone the next round, but if i’m getting thrown constantly, i do that. I really should tech their throws once in a while, and i know its my own fault for getting close to someone without throwing them first. More than half the matches i play i dont throw the entire match. Throwing just doesn’t cross my mind unless i’m right next to someone, even then i’ll use Vega’s pokes to play keep away instead of throw 'em. Still just something i picked up, even if it is just for giggles.
Yeah man, I edited my post since it sounded wrong…I wasn’t trying to sound arrogant or anything…just letting you know that getting too caught up in throw revenge is a trap people will use against you.
And using revenge and seeing how many throws i can get off on someone the next round has led to me losing quite a few matches as well :). Just a bad habit i picked up in the wonderful world of SF.
Oh yeah, lord knows I have my bad habits.
Just the other day, I tried to stuff a lariat with Honda’s Ultra…
…you can imagine how that worked out for me.
facepalm
(If you can’t imagine: Honda travels across the screen, gets to Gief, stops in mid air for about 3/4 of a second, then gets smacked by the lariat…doesn’t even trade…Gief takes no damage. )
I got into UFS (A card game about fighting games), before I ever played fighting games.
Random fact pertaining to not just me: If you’re from Holland you will NEVER be good at Marvel. This might be true for the rest of Europe as well.
I never grab even though im right in front of the guy…
I only pick female chars! (no matter how low tier they are) and never even try to play male ones.
You can’t possibly suck more than I do at 3D fighters!
What fighting games ARE people from Holland good at?

that guy should do himself a favor and go jump off a bridge
