One random fact about yourself pertaining to Fighting games

My gameplay is all SHENANIGANS!

…All of it! Fuck real skill.

I absolutely cannot play tekken after playing street fighter. My character just feels like im fighting in molasses and i find myself accidentally trying to crossup. After the street fighter starts wearing off I can thoroughly enjoy a few nice rounds of tekken.

I couldn’t play Marvel to save my life.

Whenever I played KoF games I’d always choose female characters, but this for some reason only applies to KoF.

I love picking silly/joke characters and training incredibly hard just for that chance to piss someone off in a public place by beating them with said joke character. Also to do the same thing to friends. I say, if they’re in the game, SOMEONE has to use them, and it’s going to be me. My team in MvC2 always had Servebot and Dan, for the lulz man.

In TvC I actually know all the Tatsunoko characters because I am a huge anime nerd.

I can’t hit confirm so I pick characters with safe combo enders and do the whole thing.

99% of my game involves me throwing people.

my execution sucks, i never pick characters with tough links.

once people see through my shenanigans it’s over for me.

I hate mirror matches.

I play characters that can compete, but aren’t great, not out of pride or loyalty or whatever, it’s just that I hate playing mirror matches so i don’t usually pick the toppest of top tier.

I never once had any interest in that game.

I have been playing fighting games regularly for 2 years and have never owned a stick. It sucks, but I am just to cheap to throw down.

Not now though. Now the problem is finding one.

I enjoy playing characters that are off-the-wall, tricky, goofy, and otherwise are decent mindfuck characters. Vega in SFII / 'HF / HDR and SFIV, Bison in SFIV, Rolento in Alpha and CvS2, Faust in GGX’s many iterations and Basara of Samurai Shodown III-VI. Still trying to find a good fit / main in the KoF series though…

I also get very bored playing the same characters, and will very rarely choose the same character many times in a row.

Yeah I’m still a scrub! How did I ever get an invitation to SC2 Worlds!? lol

Yea I won a motorcycle and a soulcalibur sword replica for those tournies… I think I entered the SC3 one at E3 but either CrazyJ or Aris beat me in the semis.

and now I am spending the twilight of my fighting game career scrubbing it up in VF5R

Cause only 5 canadians even WENT to the tourney?

At least in SC3 you lost to someone who def wasn’t a random scrub.

Better that than SC3/SC4. :nunchuck:

When it comes to 50/50, i seem to guess wrong every time.

I like picking any (non-boss) character voiced by Norio Wakamoto/Jouji Nakata/Akio Otsuka, even if I suck playing as that character.

I tend to pick weird characters or characters who make me laugh for that sole purpose, even if they are terrible tier-wise.

I prefer narcissist characters, because they treat themselves nicer than other characters while pissing off opponent at same time. If there is no narcissist character in roster, I usually select masked ninja. If there is no masked ninja, probably I dont play that game ^^

I also dont like overrated characters, that are forced on us to like

If I’m playing a fighting game and Chun’s in it, she’s my auto-main.

Even Marvel. Yeah, Marvel.

…I suck at Marvel.

Other then that, I tend to pick blond chicks in fighters that aren’t SF related.
(Millia in GG, Helena in DOA, Blonde Saki in AH, Cass in SC, blah blah blah)

What did you do with the motorcycle? Do you ride it and stuff?

I rarely, if ever, choose the “main character” of a game’s story.

I play 2d fighters with my Soul Calibur IV Hori stick and 3d fighters with my Street Fighter IV Madcatz pad.

Hey I got sent one of two invitations! I had to choose the other team members lol.

I rode it for 6 months, but since I was living in Toronto and half the year there’s snow on the ground I couldn’t ride it for the whole year. When spring hit I decided I couldn’t afford the maintenance and insurance (I was still in uni) so I sold it and used the money to pay for the last three years of university lol

Lol, it’s ok, I wasn’t originally on the invite list for USA. I was just like “Hey, I’m going to this” and then I got put on the main team. It worked out, so I’m happy.

I can’t do a SPD
