One Provider to Rule Them All

This is wireless through our landlord’s service next door:

Do us a favor and go back to 56k or shut the fuck up.

As a matter of fact, I’m on 56k right now. I’m too cool to be grouped with scumbugs like you. I didn’t forget the struggle.

No one said there was anything wrong with wanting a fast connection. It’s when fast isn’t satisfactory enough, and greed = wanting excess speed without even needing it. That was the point.

You silly motherfuckers still don’t understand… your internet connection is only as useful/fast as the server that is sending the data to it. Pray for better servers, not internet speeds.

 To be honest I’ve kind of learned to accept it. Slightly faster than my Internet in Beijing, but a lot more expensive. And the other thing is in China, I’m too busy playing at the arcade to care how slow my Internet is… Just don’t bother trying to play games online and play RPGs or something instead

What irks me, I pay extra for the top tier service provided by TWC, but my ping is still too high. I don’t care too much about DL and UL speeds, that’s great for pr0n, but while Killer Instinct has been kind to me, I doubt Titanfall is going to play well.

Negro please, i pay $116 for 10 down/5 up

Titanfall was good for me when the beta was limited. When they opened it up to the public, connections got stupid (expectedly). Players started skipping everywhere.

I’m glad they’re doing this stress test, but that first day/week is still going to hammer the hell out of those servers.

That’s why I can’t stand when people complain all day about how shitty their up/down speed is. They don’t realize if these servers (which are what they SHOULD be complaining about) across the internet were actually halfway decent, it would make a world of difference for their connections; for downloads, streaming, browsing, online gaming… everything. What’s the point of having ultra fast internet when you’re still stopped by server errors and slow access (like those file hosts that want you to to buy a premium account in order to download something fast, otherwise it takes an hour).

The best thing about my internet is that unlike the shmucks that are paying the 12 month promotional fee of $99 dollars for the speed I got plus hbo and cable, I am in fact paying like 30 less a month because I know how to haggle with these freaken indian overlords.
