Why does the western world want everyone to have shitty internet? Its the same in UK. 3 major providers, and they’re all shit. Which one you choose depends on your mood at the time of dishing out credit card details.

I used to try and be a good costumer for Time Warner but never got decent costumer service from them. Now I pay late all the time, wait 'til they disconnect me to give them any money and all in all am a terrible costumer. So naturally they fucking love me now. Shit makes no sense. :lol:

I read an article in the Times about this index that the government uses to determine whether or not deals like this can go through, and from what they said, it didn’t look like this was possible. And I really REALLY hope this gets shut down.
Still, if you think about it, until companies like AT&T and Verizon started offering internet, there WAS almost a monopoly on cable tv. I don’t want tv much so for me, the bigger deal is internet and my solution has been just to get an LTE phone and tether it rather than trying to deal with TWC or Comcast. The horror stories I’ve heard about those two companies mixed with my experiences with their products has made me bound and determined never to give them any of my money if I can help it.

My only other options are capped broadband (and the cap is ridiculously small), mobile hotspots (which would be far worse *and *capped) and dial up. And I’m always looking for alternatives.
