One Piece Thread: Gear 3rd!

Franky is showing how badass he always was, he’s giving me flashbacks of his Water 7 days. Manliness overload.

Did anyone find Queen’s transformation to intercept Luffy and Zoro to be insanely fast? It looked like he went from human to brachiosaurus form in an instant!

Break next week.

I wonder who has a 1% chance of living. The theories begin…

I’m sure we’re supposed to worry that it’s Luffy, but literally every character there is at less than 100% guaranteed survival chance right now.

Got thru Thriller Bark (was okay) Got to shabondy and okay wait what who hey??? Now going thru Amazon Lilly aka Snu Snu land. Now i understand the Boa Hancock head back thing also man this impending war stuff is some heavy stuff.

I know i kinda of got some eps of anime when this was popping off so kind of happy i have a more clear picture of everything going on. Also that battle with the Kuma dude was like HOLY Snaps use all the supers. Guessing we find out later why Kuma dude did save them as well?

I hated thriller bark. Except for SKULL JOOOKE. Low point in the series imo

The call backs with Brook are pretty cool but man the bone guy better have some better tricks up his sleeve.

This is from a one shot Dr Stones mangaka I think. Dudes art is dope. I wouldn’t mind more side/spin off stories done by him

Just finished up the Marineford Arc and getting into the post-war arc. Man i need a moment to let myself simmer on that closing moments. Awesome art and respect to White Beard.

Marineford is probably the series at it’s craziest, up until the present moment anyway. Nuts that that can be said and most of the Strawhats weren’t even there.

despite the amine having it’s pacing issues, it sometimes delivers on various scenes!

That’s how i felt. I like crew is scattered to the wind and luffy and motley crew of former enemies are pulled into his cause for various reasons. Crocodile is easily the MVP of that arc.

Crocodile is my favorite villain and OP character in general. He’s always so well written, and the nice fur coat too. Love mafia style bosses

So far Croc hands down but i’m getting into the meat of the Fishman Island Arc and the redesigns are spot on. Ussop looking like he can take some hits now and Franky looks straight Cyborg like. I’m loving it all so far!!! I will report back when i get farther in and do a recap.

Oda deserves a break, hopefully we won’t have a big hiatus before the end of the arc but two weeks is fine and hopefully it isn’t any serious for him or the family.

I’m surprised no one commented one the fact that Foxfire Kin’emon solo damaged a fully transformed Kaido. I have a theory that Oden’s retainers being able to damage Kaido seemingly out of the blue is due to their pledge or vow making their haki (aka ambition) so potent they can bypass his defenses. All of Oden’s retainers are going into battle with the resolve that they most likely wont make it out and that makes their haki/ willpower reach the next level. They all feel they should’ve died 20 years ago.

Another interesting thing I found is apparently some OP “math-magicians” have figured out that the OP earth is several times the size of own based on the geography and the some other clues. Whether it is by design or Oda just didn’t care about how massive areas like the Red Line would have to be in order to exist in the real world is another story.

I hope Oda is doing well…
