Hodi and his gang are probably around luffy’s age or something hodi looks a bit older due to his use of those pills. but im just guessing
Interesting, wondering though how much of a thread Decken is personally to Luffy if they square off, although it seems that Hodi is the more likely person for him to face… unless that is, he’s gonna take 'em both at the same time.
I have a feeling Luffy is going to face both, current Luffy could probably soru his way behind Decken making his projectiles hit him and then pummel him to hell, and vs Hodi he could easily do a Gomu Gomu No Haki Special with his obvious fighting prowess.
Both enemies together however, will present a challenge to Luffy because he won’t be able to go direct. I could even foresee Decken using Hodi as a projectile for a super homing roidrage Sharks-On-Darts type attack vs Luffy.
Yeah, I can see Decken with Roid-powered Hodi direct projectile assist. That definitely seems more likely than Decken being able to throw himself by, uh, touching himself. (Speaking of which, not washing your hand for 10 years? Ugh…)
I rather liked this chapter, but then again, I’m tend to like exposition heavy chapters for some reason as long as they’re done well. That “Talk Talk Talk” episode of Ghost in the Shell is probably still my favorite episode even though it was basically all talk and recaps. Given the nature of this chapter, I’m surprised that VS hasn’t swung by here and complained about it yet. Maybe because Hachi got his shit fucked up again.
(It’s weird to see him still injured two years later. I guess I hadn’t realized how badly he got injured between everything. Or maybe it was something else.)
Man, the crew dodged a bullet with Hyouzou finding Arlong’s payment plans too stingy; he kind of reminds me of Gafgarion from Final Fantasy Tactics with his seeming “there’s no money in that” attitude. They would have been fucking dead if Hyouzou had been there instead of Hachi, at least in a straight-on fight like before.
As far as Hodi and crew go, I’d say they’re either about the same age as Luffy and crew roughly or slightly older on average given that I got the impression that Arlong never went back to Fishman Island once he left and I imagine it took him and his subordinates a while to get to Nami’s island, especially with the Red Line and stuff. I might well be wrong though since I still need to “catch up” technically.
I just realized how truly warped some fishman’s minds are to think they are superior to humans. Like seriously I doubt there is any fishman beside’s Fisher Tiger who could have taken on Whitebeard or Roger. IDk baseline humans most definitely but even mid tier marines can go toe to toe with these dudes and win.I just think its severe bullshit to think they could go around stomping out humans. Then again I’m still heated over what Arlong did to Bellemere. The New Fishman pirates are clearly not about really ending oppression towards there people or against any other being. They just want to destroy shit and terrorize humans. After watching what Whitebeard did it is almost unfathomable to believe that physical might can topple the world govt. You need more than that to set things right. You have to win the people over too.

Oh shiet my nigga shanks ready to punk al them biatches
Blame it on the Tenryuubitos and the World Government for basically spending hundreds of years treat Fishman/Mermen as 3rd class citizens and slaves. Fisher Tiger was basically the leader of a Black Panther Party group known as the Fishman Pirates. While Hodi and his gang are like the black supremacists, the Nation of Islam. A minority responding back in hate with by using the same supremacist philosophies and lies.
One of my favorite chapters was when the Ohara scholars were revealing some secrets of the Void Century. It was pretty much just exposition.
I’m guessing it was something else. I’m basing this on the fact that Pell still breathes. :bluu:
The Will of “D” (The “D” standing for “Dough”)
Hyouzou is a cool character, I like his personality and the fact that he’s a high caliber swordsman just looking for loot is neat. I like strong characters with weak motivations because it reflects real life. Sometimes talented people just don’t give a…

The projectiles would just go over decken if luffy ran super speed behind him.
And I liked the newest chapter because Decken is a cool new villian. He looks humorously cool and has a nice power.
The worst chapters are when stuff is explained to set up everything and it’s the same story as every other one piece story.
Basically the last few chapters “We are at the new island, these are the new islands rules, look at these new guys, you are going to have to fight them”
Then when they fight and we learn about powers and crap is when I really really enjoy one piece. Even when it’s setting things up it’s fun because its so silly, like the giant shark eating the princess, but now everything is starting to move into the “Now everyone fights” part of the usual One Piece arc so all shall be fine.
So anyway, I like One Piece.
Remember back in Ch 603, Franky said Hachi and Duval got all sorts of fucked up trying to protect the ship alongside Kuma.
Zehahahahahaha! *
It was fate.*
Duval ,Kuma and Hachi got beaten up really bad . I’m telling yall Decken is more than one person he has a conjoined twin or something .
I didn’t like the new episode too much. It was overly dragged out and Coby’s incessant crying was getting annoying.
shanks so godlike!!
This episode reminded me of a random thought I had when I read the manga. Is it possible Blackbeard’s power was responsible for stirring all the soldiers to madness even though the war was pretty much over?
Oh and I really hope this song gets played next ep!!!:
yeah know i thought coby had some kinda haki moment…especially in the anime version of the scene. it seemed like he could feel all the deaths, but i guess not.
He did have a Haki moment, the entire experience he was having was because of his inner discovery of Kenbushoku Haki (Mantra). His ability is very keen though, as he’s able to sense every voice on the battlefield, much to his horror. This ability will probably be refined to the point of being a specialist and reaching Admiral rank!
And to further elaborate on Kenbushoku Haki, I also think Madame Shirley has a suped up version of it which explains her precognitive abilities.
Epic Coby facial expressions
Hmmm you know I really didn’t catch onto that when I read the manga issue but it makes sense now. Definitely shows that Coby is developing into a major character. Between the Kenbushoku Haki and using Soru (which means he can probably use all 6 powers) he could very well make Admiral status. Maybe he’ll even get his hands on a Logia fruit next time we see him.
Coby only knew Soru prior to the 2 year advance, but I’m sure he’s mastered them all by now (maybe even the secret art!)
I still have a strange sinking feeling that Logia fruits are awarded to highly respected and loyal Marines, aiding them in reaching Admiral status. This would explain why all the Admirals have the most powerful Elemental Logias we’ve seen so far.
I agree, I think they have a stock of devil fruits somewhere and reward the higher up Marines. I’m actually pretty sure of it if I remember the whole CP9 deal correctly it would make sense. Coby could end up taking down one of the super novas and get a Devil Fruit as reward.
