Decided to check up on the latest episode of the anime just to see where it’s currently at. The latest episode (699) had surprisingly solid animation, most likely because it’s Doffy vs. Luffy.
On another note, how do you pronounce “haki”? I keep pronouncing it “hockey” is that the right way or what?

I guess Doffy’s eyes follow a twisted version of Heisenberg’s uncertainty principle. The odaverse just can’t allow us to see them. Panels and angles shift on the mere suggestion that his eyes might be revealed.

So is burgess actually dead now or what? Would be pretty ruthless and badass if Sabo just killed him straight away.
I’d be shocked if Burgess actually died from that attack. I’m a bit disappointed though. I realize it was Sabo he was going against but it looks like he got extremely bodied and with that we have no new information about how they are actually stealing devil fruits from their users.
Now that this arc is finally done I’m excited to see what has happened to the part of the crew that was on Sunny. I have a good feeling the crew from thriller bark may have intervened and stopped the battle.
Burgess ( ha we share the same last name ) has a point though. Where the fuck where you Sabo during Marine Ford huh? Luffy went through hell and back in Impel Down just to get to the battle field, in which he went through even more hell. What the fuck was stopping Sabo? He’s a high ranking member of the Revolutionary Army. Dude couldn’t pull some strings or ask Dragon for some back up to go save his homie?
They were probably helping another kingdom/country, or Dragon just didn’t want to get involved in a war that they didn’t need to get involved in and lose their numbers, resources, and let the World Government know where they are.
The Revolutionary Army was already involved once Ivankoff decided to stick his nose in there.

Hmm good point about Ivanko. As for Burgess I don’t think he’s dead. I don’t see why Oda would kill off such a high ranking member of the crew that is most likely going to be the final hurdle for Luffy. I think he’s hurt bad but and will be captured by Marines, and maybe broken out by Blackbeard’s people sometime later. And a bill for luffy’s bounty? Wouldn’t that make him the highest bounty? Even more than Dragon or the Yonkou’s?
Dragon’s bounty is a billion no way luffy is going that high. I predict 600 million at most.

Well, I’m expecting his bounty to at least triple after this… Considering he was at 400 mil before the timeskip, that should put him at 1.2 bil.
Maybe it won’t climb that high, but his bounty IS going to be ridiculous from here on out- He and Law just fucked over A LOT of people in high(and low) places worldwide…
