Slightly disappointed we don’t get to see more of the Sabo/Fuji fight.
I realize though the need to dial back on the volume of action in order to focus on the main event right now.

Dofl: I’M A GROWN ASS MAN! I don’t have time for your kiddy games!
I did get a chuckle out of that last line
Doflamingo really moved up a few tiers in scumbaggery this chapter.
God damn. I knew Dolfa Was strong, but the dude is just overpowering both Law and Luffy at the same fucking time.
We all knew Dofla was a maniac and a psycho and just a plain ol’ scumbag but damn did he level up in all 3 categories in 16 pages.
seeing Luffy and Law getting handled like that was kind of surprising. That kick was just brutal. Not as bad as the red hawk but still pretty bad.
Yea Dofla going in, but to be fair Luffy still hasn’t gone all out yet… Has Luffy ever used a gear since the timeskip?
Luffy has used 2nd gear all the time since the skip. He also used 3rd gear a few times as well. Last time I can remember was during his fight against Caesar.
Really? So much shit goes on it is hard to keep track
It’s super easy to miss second gear in the manga especially since he doesn’t take his normal pose to activate it anymore. How you forgot about luffy’s big ass black limbs is beyond me though.
Oh and I totally lied before, Luffy has used third gear this arc as well.
I thought those were just Haki techniques, but checking out the wiki it is listen as both Haki and gear second, including stuff like the red hawk.
I think it’s mostly because he doesn’t announce it now plus he can isolate it to certain bodyparts rather than it being a full body technique.
Edit: Actually the wiki has the hardening listed just under Haki technique called Busoshoku: Koka…makes sense since others like Vergo able to do use it. Either way chalk it up to my shitty memory.
Fujitora’s Blind Justice is definitely reminiscent of Aokiji’s Lazy Justice. Just letting the dice tumble… I did like how he’s using the Marines for his benefit and not just following orders. A delicate balance between duty and doing the right thing.
I guess we have to wait until the end of this arc to see what CP-0 has been up to.
Sanji better find Lola’s Vivre Card so their ass ain’t grass…
I never noticed Doflamingo talking in the 3rd person before.
Has luffy ever gear secondedd himself full body to move faster?
Look at dofla kicking everyones ass. And this guy is scared of kaidou o.o
I’d be scared too since Kaidou has a giant army of Zoan DF users.
Dofla confirmed BEAST status, but he just said the trigger word: Tenryuubito.
Son is about to get a face full of hardened rubber punches to the grill now… but damn, it won’t be easy.
Yes, but very briefly. He also doesn’t announce it as much as he used to.
What I really want to confirm is if he can use Soru without Gear 2nd. He couldn’t do it, pre-timeskip.
Dofla wouldn’t be scared of some jobber Zoans he had a hand in manufacturing, he’s concerned with the main man himself. Kaidou doesn’t mess around, as evidenced by what he did to Gecko Moria’s crew.
Dofla should’ve gotten sent to some boot camp for bad-ass kids, this dude is still a spoiled and entitled little brat. Now he’s just taking out his issues on a nation as a crazed madman.
Doflamingo was the worst brat, which makes it strange that he seems to care about his companions and direct underlings the way he does.
That being said, yeah Law and Luffy are going to need to tag team in order to take him down. That shit was brutal. But I think Bellamy may play a bigger role in the proceedings then I think most would have thought when showed up again in this arc.
Doflo’s got sort of a mob boss relationship with his underlings. He cares for them, and seems to even have a pretty high tolerance for disobedience and failure. But at the same time there’s no doubt that he is the uncontested boss.
I figure he’s built himself a replacement family - but the crucial thing is, these are people who work towards the same goal as him. This is someone who’s killed at least two actual family members, one of whom was one of his underlings. Once you cross a certain line, it looks like he will kill the hell out of you, no matter who you are.
That stuff is what makes Doflo my favorite OP villain so far. He was in danger of simply being Crocodile 2.0, but he’s a remarkably complex character for a comic marketed at tweens/teens.
wtf is going on…some of these …‘revelations’ are pretty ridiculous. seems to make law and dofla really stupid
