Zoro would be fine in the operating room so long as he just does the cutting, telling him to move, hold or change stuff will just end in situations where he winds up moving organs into places they are no supposed to be because he forgot where he found them. But that initial cut, he’d be golden.

Him getting sick is one thing, but the fact that he conquered the Grand Line while being terminally ill THE ENTIRE 3 YEAR VOYAGE is the really crazy part. All his battles, struggles, and babymaking were done while he was on his last legs. (Also thanks to Doc Crocus’ medical skills.)

So what would it be like if the force field dude joined the crew? He’d be a good addition IMO, and Luffy just got an ARMY on his side (glossed over). Dude is turning into Dragon and doesn’t even know it. Once his crew helps liberate Dressrossa - he’s pretty much ‘right there’

This chapter is setting up for the future of OP in a big way. The Don giving Luffy command over his most powerful sect of his navy, Bart willing to kill for him. Even if Bart doesn’t outright join the Straw Hats officially he will still be an ally for later. Remember back when Roger, White Beard, and Shiki fought all those years back, they had fleets under their command; Luffy will inevitably reach that level.
Bartomello is not even close to being Strawhat Crew material so I don’t know why people think he’ll join the crew. The samurai has a better chance at getting in and he probably won’t join either.
The scale of this arc seems quite large when you think about everything that’s going on and the repercussions after wards might be even larger. You’re looking at a multi-front civil war between Don Flamingo’s forces, the toys, the gnomes, Law, Straw Hats, and Luffy’s allies that he makes during this arc (the gladiator convicts, bartomello, the Don, etc…). The end result is the possible defeat of Don Flamingo, which is coming earlier than I was expecting, and possibly pits the Straw Hats against a Yonkou next arc.
We still don’t know if the MeraMera fruit is for real and if so who’s getting it. The Blackbeard angle is also interesting but we don’t know the extent of their involvement in this arc past the tournament. Then there’s still the story line with the samurai (his name escapes me atm) trying to rescue his friend. Overall, there’s so much shit that’s going on at once right now and it feels like it’s building up to something really epic.
I’m more intrigued at the possibility of an Aokiji/Blackbeard alliance… It’s more than likely a set up/double cross, but its still scary to think about.

The mention of Aokiji is interesting. I always thought he might end up with the Revolutionaries at some point; he’s definitely up to something working with Blackbeard.
I like how Luffy falling for certain traps deal with “intent”, he couldn’t sense murderous intent via haki so they nabbed him.
So Bartolomeo is the biggest fanby. I lmao’d when he said Caven-Bitch. All this time I thought he was a spy for Kaidou, but evidently not.
Luffy displayed his most prominent power, the ability to gain allies like Mihawk mentioned during the war. Now he has a strong navy and possibly a few more goons and goonettes by the end of this arc. These guys will come into play when they need to evade the Marines + a psychotically enraged Doflamingo once the Mugiwaras get a number on him. I’m sure many of the Luffy’s newfound allies will be in the middle of that fray.
The Burgess v. Luffy fight seems inevitable at this point, since I don’t think NW Burgess will fall so easily. I’m sure Luffy will get the Mera Mera no Mi, I just wonder who he’ll give it to?
Aokiji is probably follow the “My enemy of my enemy is my friend” principle, but in the case of the BB Pirates it will probably backfire. Marshall likes associating himself with strong people, but he’s also smart enough to see a doublecross coming.
BTW, did anyone notice the tele-snail’s post-timeskip visage of Schwarzbeard? He now has the braided beard of his counterpart the real-life Edward Teach.
