So the toys were humans who were turned into toys by a devil fruit user. Saw that one coming from a mile away! However, I’m quite surprised about the factory being under the Colosseum.
Anyway, this was a great chapter! Not as good as the last one but still great.
Man, Garp must have destroyed that dude’s spirit back in the day. And yep, it looks like we are going to have another nation upheaval before this arc is over, Dwarves/elves, Toys and Coliseum folk with the Marines and Doflamingo’s forces all over, isht is far from over.
I am betting we don’t see the first hint of Luffy’s climatic fight until after January 2014.
*Puts on Oda-like thinking cap
It makes sense when you think about it, both females were weighted down by heartbreak and were just surviving, being on the crew restored their hearts like the Grinch except their bodies grew to compensate the increase size.

Or my man likes to draw breasts and if One Piece hadn’t taken off, he’d still be getting paid drawing some of the best weird hentai this world has ever seen!
No one is getting the Mera Mera Fruit. If the SMART factory is under the Colosseum and that’s surrounded by marines, we may get to the next round, but I doubt anyone is getting their hands on the fruit.
I figured the Toy thing was the result of a Devil Fruit, but I didn’t know it was a form of punishment since most people seem fully charmed by the man. I knew Doflamingo was a douche, but really? Dude really has control issues.
What I liked most about this chapter was when Chinjao mentioned how many men with the “Wills of Kings” have been laid to rest in the deep dark ocean. Gives a real level of scale on what it really means to be Pirate King.
It reminds me of when Crocodile in Impel Down said that there were, a lot of angry “Silver Medalists” in the world, when speaking about Whitebeard’s enemies.
I’m actually a little bit disappointed that it turns out that Dressrosa’s population has simply been brainwashed and/or turned into toys.
I would’ve liked a little bit of nuance in the OP villain roster BEFORE they’re beaten, for once. I was sorta hoping that despite all his shady dealings and troll attitude, he was actually running his country well. Now that it turns out ol’ Doflo is a douche to his subjects as well, no such thing to be found.
Not that I mind TOO much! That is nicely villainous.
Yup. It would have made one of OP’s most enigmatic characters that much more complex. But this is a guy who specializes in manipulation both directly and indirectly.
I know im totally late but I just loved watching the usopp vs luffy fight and holy shit intense. I am at 264 (watching dub) yea yea I know “dub sux” but after episode 264 with luffy running in with “where’s robin” I was like holy shit I wont wait for the dubs lol. Dayum I missed out on this show and well I have another 342 to go rofl.
Wait, you’re at episode 264 but you have an avatar of Luffy using gear 2nd at episode 273? You’re spoiling the anime for yourself. Hah.
Anyways, enjoy it all for the first time! Sometimes I wish that I could just forget everything so that I could re-enjoy the amazing experience again (first time is always best). Instead, I just end up re-watching arcs over and over again. It’s still fun and all, but never as good as the first time.
