omg did that trailer for pirate warriors 2 just give away Luffys new power up? was that a luffy punch in the end with flames? does that mean he will somehow end up with the fire fruit? :S
Nnnnno. Thatâs Luffy igniting his hand through, I dunno, willpower or something. He did one of those in the Hordy fight (two of them in the anime, which made it less special).
I like Robinâs get-up too. Same with Fujitora who dons the coolest Marine jacket imo (dat collar.) Capman Maynard look like one of the few OP characters with proportionate upper body to leg muscularity lol.
Bartolomeo is an interesting character right off the bat The fact that he was silhouetted usually means one of 4 things:
Itâs a really strong guy.
He might be a familiar face.
Both.
A new but super-relevant character.
Iâm thinking itâs about time for Oda to utilize the more interesting earlier characters Luffy met along the way. Gin being the main contender. Johnny & Yosaku being famed NW Bounty Hunters would be pretty damn cool as well.
Iâm also wondering if these âfaeriesâ are the reason for these âlivingâ toys. Itâs also interesting just how cult-ish these residents are as well.
With all these moves being made, I think Lawâs plan is going to turn upside-down with devastating results (Doflamingo), and Luffy will- in his own way, help resolve the major conflicts. Law mustâve known Smoker was going to rat out his plans though, so I think he at least has that part covered.
There are 9 Straw Hats at the moment(minus jimbei)-luffy,robin,nami,brook,franky,usoop,zoro sanji, and chopper if we assume Luffy wasnât counting himself that will leave two but jimbei already seems to have a saved spot so 1 more. but honestly I think it will be more than 10 maybe like 15 Luffy is always asking people to join the crew
Donât forget Luffy counts his ships as part of his crew.
Also Vivi is a bit of an honorary strawhat. Not part of the current roster, but sheâll always have a place on there.
VS is actually spitting some solid logic. If it was someone of that renown it wouldâve been news. Also Bartholomew =/= Bartolomeo
As alluring as this theory sounds, it would only make sense if Bartolomeo wasnât considered a rookie. Sabo was close to Aceâs age, so unless heâs been chilling for a good minute and suddenly decided to become a pirate during the timeskip Bart being Sabo to fly.
That being said, with the feat he just pulled off (unless Maynard did some DF shenanigans) Sabo would be a very convincing and random powerhouse (like Luffy was in the East Blue days).
Well yeah, I was making a joke; white shadow. You should know this, youâre my favorite person who posts on this thread. Then again, I rarely make jokes. So who knows.
But yeah, he was a âbig time rookieâ about 1 year ago. Plus he looks like a relatively normal person in accordance to size and such.
Iâm just really curious about how this tournament is going to turn out, especially with Fujitora potentially interfering. I hope Luffy doesnât have too much trouble with Burgess (this assumes that they actually fight).
One Piece returns to American television under the block Toonami on May 18th. The eps will start at 207. Although this was a boring arc that will take decades to finish, this may be the last opportunity to spread one piece in america. Please support it by making sure that they see that one piece can be big in america. See ya may 18th.
I have good news and bad newsâŚ
Bad news first, Episode 207 according to One Piece wiki is the start of the Davy Back Fight arc, 12 freaking episodes and potentially 7 more in follow up anime filler.
Good news, after all that isht the Water 7 arc starts. No idea why they didnât just start there but whatever, I will at least program my DVR to record it.
lol My bad. Itâs really hard to discern sarcasm on the net, especially when people concoct the craziest theories all the time that have no rationale. (Anyone remember Edwar D. Newgate?)
In hindsight I wouldâve loved for it to have been Sabo though, 'tis a shame.
Just watched One Piece Film Z and itâs by far the best One Piece movie to date.
The production values are through the roof with some of the most jaw dropping animation youâll see for an anime movie to date. The last time I jizzed my pants over animation quality in a movie was Sword of the Stranger and Film Z just blows that away. Besides the ridiculous production values, this movie ties into the main story canon of the manga and reveals several tidbits of information about Aokiji during the 2 year time skip that the manga hasnât even revealed.
The design work is astounding with the clothing being designed by some famous fashion designer and the cast ends up going through several changes of clothing throughout the movie. Some of it retains the clownish style that Oda is known for while others are a lot more modern.
The pacing of the movie is perfect with nothing feeling dragged out or rushed mixing in action and story at the right moments. The movie surprisingly does a really good job at furthering Luffyâs resolve to becoming the Pirate King and the character development for the main villain was excellent. The movie just carries the essence of male romanticism with a clash of ideals, dreams, and convictions through an old school slug fest. Seriously, Iâm just blown away at how well done Film Z was done and itâs definitely worth watching several times over.

Spoiler
The most important one is the after math of the Aokiji and Akainu fight leaving Aokiji with severe 3rd degree burn scars on his left arm and his right leg is completely gone. He compensates for this by using his Ice Powers to form a makeshift appendage but itâs pretty clear the battle left a heavy tole on his body.
OP Film Z Random Thoughts:
OP Film Z random thoughts
[details=Spoiler]Thereâs a lot of solid scenes in the Luffy but I particularly like Luffyâs answer to Zâs question about the importance of the straw hat. It wasnât the typical answer of returning the hat to Shanks to keep a promise. The answer of keeping him focused on his goal to becoming the pirate king was just too good.
Z is one of the better developed One Piece villains despite being just a movie villain. It was smart move to making him the teacher of all the well known Marines in the OP universe and giving him key scenes with Aokiji. It just sped up the development process and made him a more memorable character since he wasnât just simply a throw away character. I loved the homage to old animes with the classic slug fest to sum up the convictions of the protagonist and antagonist. The follow up with Zâs self sacrifice for his new comrades and his old proteges shedding tears as they kill Z was such an amazing scene and a good lead off to the ending. [/details]
