One Piece Thread: Gear 2nd!

I am not really arguing against Franky, its more the situation that “I” setup when thinking on it. Franky with gadgets…BAWSE. Franky with OUT those gadgets…not so much…and that was more what I visualized…no Sentinel assist, no Psylocke, no rocks. Under those conditions, Brooke would beat Franky and Robin easily…lest we forget he actually was a credible swordsman…with good speed…and virtually unkillable. Now if you give Franky all his toys, then I’ll mos def give him 4…no argument from me.

Though I will argue Robin vs Brooke till blue in the face. Is Robin more effective in the group dynamics - yeah - Brooke suffers from redundancy due to Zorro, but if they were to fight? Without any type of haki backing, what’s to stop her from getting sliced up? A Panty flash is about ‘it’.

Below those two is where I think you can get into real arguments, Usopp/Nami/Chopper.

And One Piece fighting game?

Emporio Ivankov - the ‘Gen’ of the cast…

Emporio Estrogen - Female form (reverse DP w/ short), grappler combat, and more pixie like, less damage easier comboes & ticks
Emporio Okama - New-Half form (reverse DP w/ medium), least combo potential and melee damage, heavy keep away
Emporio Testosterone - Male form (reverse DP w/ roundhouse), Kempo combat, weaker combo potential, harder hitting, better normals

Forms can cancel moves akin to Devil Trigger, so they add to combo potential, though some links are more difficult (but rewarding) than others

Emporio Estrogen Form:
-Bear Grab - Multi-hit Throw (combable, but damage scales)
-Emporio Detension Horomone - Mid hitting ‘stab’ - Status change, drains adrenaline of opponent on hit, slowing movement & attack, lowers damage, increases damage taken (can be linked afterwards)
-Kama Kick - See King’s (Tekken) ‘Convict Kick’ sets up stun state (must be a link to follow-up)
-Chi to Ase to Namida Relevé - Command jump, button pressed determines height/angle, with dp-short being a low cross-up jump, dp-medium, being a far (full screen) jump (fireball counter), and dp-roundhouse being a wall bounce. Wall hop can be altered to a dive kick for possible cross-up, a hop right back to where you initially jumped from, or a slide down the wall.
-Okama Dash - Command Dash, button pressed determines direction, forward, in place, back. Goes thru attacks, but not throws, does not allow her to attack during, but can be used to extend comboes with wall bounces and gender changes
-Super - “I Vant You” - non-comboable throw, does high damage, and sets up same state as Detension Horomone.

Emporio Okama Form:
-Death Wink - Projectile…not visible outside of the movement of the air. Functions as multi-hit beam. Can be upgraded.
-Emporio Ganmen Seicho Hormone - functions similar to form change (reverse DP w/ Medium). Head grows. Can be performed up to 3 times. Each time, your hurtbox grows, while your attackbox shrinks. Can cancel moves similar to Devil Trigger, and can be used to extend comboes. Each upgrade increases the damage of Death Wink. At level 3, Death Wink becomes a single hit ‘Hell Wink’
-Super - Hell Wink - Multi-hit powered up version of Death Wink. Full screen, fills screen, poor chip, high damage, but does not scale well. Strength of wall bounce predicated on percentage of its landed (if a 5-hit super and all 5 hit, then wall bounce is full screen), and damage multiplied by Emporio Ganmen Seicho Hormone.

Emporio Testosterone Form:
-Okama Kick - Jump kick similar to C.Viper’s burn kicks. Sets up juggle state
-Emporio Chiyu Hormone - Use Super Meter to heal back life up to red. Starts with a slight blow back, but can be stopped.
-Hakucho Arabesque - Hard hitting kick combinations, short is a low variant, medium is a mid variant, roundhouse is a high variant. Can link afterwards (2-framer).
-Death Wink - Projectile - non-upgradable, not multi-hit - just a single blast.
-Super - Okama Chop & Kerri Pointe - Executed similar to She-Hulks multi-motion super, easily comboable chop to the head (overhead attack), that is followed up by a series of kicks that push opponent to corner with a hard ground bounce

So after all thats said an done it would be possible to do a combo starting off in say Eporio Testosterone form and go thru them ALL…
Jab, strong, Fierce, Okama Kick (short), Hakucho Arabesque (roundhouse) - link - Okama Chop & Kerri Pointe, Emporio Estrogen Form, Emporio Detension Horomone (resets from bouncing to standing), strong, medium, fierce - link - c.roundhouse (sweep), Kama Kick (wall bounce-but still in corner), Emporio Okama Form, Death Wink xx Emporio Ganmen Seicho Hormone, strong, fierce, Emporio Ganmen Seicho Hormone xx Super Hell Wink

Would be impressive to watch…

Wow, that’s one hell of a moveset! Not bad Unreallystic!

Anyone else?

Also, out of curiosity, if “Rokushiki+Haki style” Robin were in a game, let it be fighting game or an adventure game (like Pirate warriors and Unlimited cruise series), do you think she would make a good hidden boss character or special boss character (As in the boss you fight after the final boss if certain conditions are met)?

Makes me want to make that game haha

Depending on pace, Usopp would actually be beast mode…just the snipe spam and plant keep-away…though I guess someone like a Hawkeye would be a hard counter (full screen slashes).
I’d recommend a three bar system, health, meter, and ‘special’ which would line-up with things such as Haki or DF ability, that would be burned and recharge slowly based on things such as ‘Logia dodging’ or DF abilities (for instance the non-physical attacks in my aforementioned move list would burn special) or haki ‘abuse’ - Like Luffy adding it to a jet pistol to add ‘armor’, knockback, and damage. Most likely those haki attacks would function similar to ‘EX’, but wouldn’t take away from Super ability.

  1. Rankyaku Hyobi is the is the Roundhouse version of Large Leopard Rankyaku, Tobu Shigan Bachi was supposed to be the projectile created from the Fierce version from Large Leopard Lucci, but I completely forgot about it since I typed that list like 4 in the morning lol. The aerial version goes at a 45 degree angle as well.

  2. I know, but unlike the other CP9 regular Lucci’s repertoire of moves are rather lackluster so I wanted to give him something to balance him out (I thought of Shin Rankyaku lol). I also didn’t like the idea of making up a non-canon Super for him.

  3. Sounds good. I also forgot that modified version of Ouren would function as his grab.

That’s brilliant! I loved your Emporio Ivankov moveset as well! You could also do thing like make Luffy use up all of his Haki meter when he does Hoahshoku Haki. I think Logias in a fighting game will have to use that special bar to gain their invulnerability and only for brief period (like a dodge). Otherwise, they’d be too broken and regular characters without a Haki-based special meter can’t touch them.

I also made a Luffy moveset but it’s rather predictable as he’s essentially the Ryu of the series.

BTW does anyone else notice the 2 variations of Armaments Haki? There’s the version that basically imbues the body of the user in the iron-like form (Luffy, Vergo), and the type that’s basically like an invisible forcefield of sorts (Sentomaru, Rayleigh). I wonder if the difference lies in the overall strength of the user or it’s just that brawlers prefer strengthening their physiques?

YOU GUYS ARE DORKS.

hmm…

Honestly - Conquerers haki would be a status change…similar to what I mentioned with Ivankov…it would lower your opponenets damage output, increase the damage they take and/or depending on bar, distance, opponent, setup a stun state (instead)…so if a Shanks player is going against Usopp, I’d expect them to be able to dizzy Usopp, but Vergo verse Luffy, Vergo would suffer ‘a penalty’, but would obviously be able to resist it. There would have to be a ‘fair’ mechanic for balance sake…maybe like a wager system…otherwise non-haki characters would get utterly destroyed by it…somerone like Luffy would have a full blown auto reset against a significant chunk of the cast.

Observation haki would end up being a ‘roll’ and a ‘roll cancel’ mechanic, so you won’t blow thru attacks with armor, but you’d completley dodge them…like what I listed above, only you’d be able to attack thru it.

If there is a one piece fighting game, whitebeard = shao kahn right?

If someone can find me the name of the song in this anime episode from 14:32-17:00 I will be quite pleased.

Fucking SRK.

Sorry about that folks. Please don’t crucify me (even if you try to, white shadow and Trollslash have got my back :coffee:).

Appreciated.

more like this

More Like ‘Q’ with full screen projectiles…
-:bluu:

I wanna try a Sanji moveset based off his Musou character. I think with some work it would transition well.

I just asked ASW to make an One Piece fighter via Twitter, thanks to the “we want to make a new fighter for PS4” news. lol (I’m that desperate)

I mean, at least Ivankov could have a baller “Midnight Bliss” finisher with them. Haha

I want a One Piece MMO.

I want to Room and Shambles everything all day and cut islands in half.

More like Q piloted by Kuroda.

Went too into the OP MMO thing.
Too much of an open world. Too many mechanics.
Maybe to get to the grand line you need to at least have 3 members. They can be NPCs or players.
NPCs level automatically and always stay with the ship since they cant have everyone roaming around with NPCs.
Maybe some areas allow NPCs like instances.

Wonder if you could be a medic swordsman. Is Law a swordsman?
Would b cool.

[details=Spoiler]
I think if you killed an NPC with a DF there’s a chance you get their DF as a drop as long as you have a fruit container in your inventory.
DFs are tradeable to players and NPCs.
DFs cant be banked.
You can carry DFs on your ship or on you alone.
30 minutes after leaving your ship tells all players on the same island you’re on it if you have a bounty. The higher the bounty, the faster word gets out.
Only female players, not characters, can be alligned with the Kuja Pirates
Ivankov’s gender swap is a buff that lasts until you die. Gets you access to Amazon lily.
Hot Springs in Amazon Lily removes all buffs and debuffs, not counting DFs.

DF weaknesses are like pokemon with the addition of complete immunity to some attacks (rubber vs lightning)

I’d still be a swordsman with no DF.
Rare Swords and DFs would probably work the same way, but swords wouldn’t drop on death, unless you’re new world or something maybe. Death from a Marine or Yonko or something you lose your rarest item + DF.
Items taken by world goverment alligned NPCs/warlords end up in the auction house on … uh… that island 24 hours after or something.
NPC bounty/marine rank determine how long it takes for them to respawn. Vice Admirals would respawn in a few admirals after a “death”.

Not logging on for more than a month, and not playing for at least X many hours in 30 days counts as a death (people die when they are forgotten). You lose all player specific items that’s it. Bounty stays the same minus the DF / sword bounty.

Being a pirate is harder than being a Marine since depending on your bounty you could lose access to how you travel, or maybe some shops.
Civilian kills increase your bounty the fastest of all non marine kills.
NPC deaths decrease your xp and bounty.

DFs would be buffs that last until you die. Only one person per world can have the same DF.
DFs respawn in the same island after a DF user dies as long as that island grows the right fruit.
DFs automatically add to your bounty.
The higher your bounty the faster the game updates on your location to marine HQ, unless you’re in new world.
Marine battle ships contain Marines up to maybe Vice admiral. Vice admirals aggro range depends on your bounty ( and of course how close you get to him/her).
If your bounty is past 100k in one of the 4 blues Admirals will spawn from war ships, or maybe Kizaru can come from nowhere teleport style and wreck shit (maybe Don could do the same thing as well as other Warlords. )

Your Bounty goes up by doing PvP, island missions, and doing things like killing attacking Marines or civilians(only on islands).

New World, and grand line are both pvp areas.
Marines cant attack other marines, but pirates can attack other pirates.
All Marines rank up as they complete world government missions, and island missions.

Too much to think about, the combat would have to be a mix of DC’s mmo and wow.

One Piece with the world of Wind Waker, but ten to fifteen times bigger…
