I was thinking before last chapter, because the gas maybe was “alive” it could be Conqueror’s Haki that would allow him to overpower ‘it’s’ will but no doubt we will get the answer soon, due to the gas’ latest victim. Kinemon’s rant however seemed to allude to Haki so it can’t be just Haki alone given he got ‘smoked’.
I did forget that Brooke would obviously be immune… since he has no lungs… Yohohohoho!

I had assumed that once the gas had merged with CC, it had turned off when he was KOed. Like when logias turn solid when they will it or are koed. Hence why it might have started to crumble off of frankie.

I think I’m the only person with no interest in the current arc at this point. Or maybe Bleach/Naruto have more going on right now. My interest in gerneal has waned since Hodi and d’em. This arc has some dark elements, and the pathways getting condensed has helped greatly from a story telling point - but I dunno, I’m just not too excited. hmm…and its not one of those “Moar fighting PLZ!” things either, something just feels missing.

I’m liking Baby 5’s DF power as well-- I wonder if she can do laaaazers? Her weird personality flaw has me worried that she’ll be another waste of potential and on a side note, does she want to kill DoFlo because he tricked her and then hit it and quit it? That’s the impression I got and you know what they say about living female weapons of mass destruction getting scorned. 
On a serious note, here’s yet another OP female character with a seriously hardcore strength/power that succumbs to girly, pre-pubescent mannerisms.
I think Robin is one of the very few of these women who don’t exhibit this behavior in OP.
Where the hell can I watch all the One Piece episodes, particularly episodes after Impel Down? I’m trying to watch this shit on Hulu + but I can’t stand the 5+ minutes of ads they FORCE you to watch.
Mr.5 was pretty much the first “black” character in OP too. If he was some New World elite with haki he could’ve been blowing up entire islands or something!
Me wonders if Baby 5 at max PMS MODE can generate a nuke!!!
Black Cage Hina, Madame Shirley, Shakky and a few others are no-nonsense as well.

frankie is a cyborg not a robot. Though he is a lot more machine than human these days. doesn’t change the fact that if his flesh died that he would die. As well as the timing of frankie being freed of the ash.
I don’t think you understand, at the end of the chapter Franky was in a mech.
He probably got in it because he saw the incoming gas.

Luffy’s poison immunity kept him from feeling the paralyzation effects (much… He was struggling a little there just after the KO punch, it seems), but it’s not like just touching the gas covers the whole body with the ashy stuff. The gas would have to touch the rest of the body before the rest of the body was affected.
Shinokuni doesn’t actually petrify. It works together with the ash: While the poison paralyzes you, the ash in the air gathers on your body rapidly and petrifies, cocooning you in it. Only the bits that get into the gas would get covered, though.
Similarly, Franky has no exposed bits of flesh inside of the General Franky, so while the ash gathers on the robot, it doesn’t actually hinder it much.
So by the looks of it, I guess they’re adding New World versions of the characters to the older chapters, and also adding stuff they skipped in the first OP Musou?

Seriously, when Luffy acts like a kid half the time, and Sanji’s horny-nosebleed gets so exaggerated that it’s used as a plot trigger, I wouldn’t worry too much about a couple of women acting insecure.

I’m pretty sure I saw Shinokuni petrify immediately on contact. Some of the victims were merely exposed to the fringes of the gas and still succumbed.
Seems possible. The fact that Kinemon was affected means that it isn’t lethal at least, since Zoro has to fight him and all… (plot destiny ftw!)
(Nah, the people were covered in ash, white shadow. They weren’t out and out “petrified” as what actually happens with Boa’s powers since it’s been heavily implied that Shinokuni paralyzes and suffocates anyone it’s poisoned and the ash just helps with that.)
Speaking of Shinokuni, I feel idiotic for both not realizing that Frankie wasn’t with the rest of the crew for the past 10+ chapters and not realize that the Blue-Mage-earned Magellan-poison immunity is at least part of why Luffy just no sold Shinokuni. I feel a bit disappointed like a few people over on Arlong Park that Caesar was so shocked that he didn’t even try to defend himself in his new form, but it’s understandable given what manipulative prick he was/is. Hell, if anything, Monet foreshadowed him getting his shit pushed in badly by someone who was pissed off at him, especially since Luffy doesn’t give a damn about pissing off the whole underworld. (An underworld which Lucci seems he may be a part of or at least be keeping tabs on, which means we’ll see CP9 again, yay!)
Aside from that, I’m actually a bit…relieved that Baby 5’s reason for being pissed at Doflamingo is relatively childish, at least in the sense of what I originally believed to be the issue. Considering how…rape-y his powers seem as it is, I was wondering if Oda would bring such a topic up since the New World is already showing it’s darker than the first half of things in “Paradise”.
I’m also not sure how to feel about her fruit being so…mechanical when everyone else except for maybe Blueno’s & Hina’s seemed to be based off something natural. And Buffalo’s fruit just reminds me how sad I am that we never got to see the Captains during the Buster Call do much, especially since Sharinguru–the guy with the Wheel fruit similar to his–has been the only Devil Fruit who has been manga-only.
I could see Kinemon surviving if only due to his clothing/suit fruit, which I’ve been saying from the beginning should be able to make armor. (Please be Samus Aran-like. Please be Samus Aran-like.)
As much as Oda doesn’t tend to (noticeably) kill off even fodder, I’m not sure how I’d feel if Chopper found a way to cure anyone else of Shinokuni, even as “clown”-ish as Caesar is.
Yeah I thought baby 5 went through some “enslavement” (hence the getup) and tried enact some last ditch revenge while she wasn’t manipulated.
I didn’t think they fully petrified, but I figured they suffocated from the ash (Caesar pretty much explained the method), just like the disaster with the Vesuvians.
As for the exposure, I guess I’ll take your word for it, as I’m too lazy to check atm. :razzy:
