The first nick on the cheek appeared to be a haki cut because she bleed and the massive chop down the middle was just Zoro running up on her no haki but pure murderous intent that mind fucked her enough she pulled a Humpty dumpty and Tashigi had to finish her off. But this is OP and Tashigi is one of the good ones so Monet is most likely alive, just knocked the fuck out.
Yeah, only in OP can someone get sliced in two, blown up by a nuke or hit by 2 ton hammers and merely be knocked out.
Of course all that apparently has got nothin’ on a small flight of stairs: THE deadliest killer in all of OP.

It was amazing how many people were confused by this when it first happened. Molten lava/magma is of a higher energy gradient. It takes more energy to make rocks melt, than it takes for fire to combust. Even if the flame was the same temperature as magma, the energy for magma would be naturally greater. That’s why you can survive being in 110 degree heat in the desert, but your face would melt off if you were blasted with 110 degrees of steam.
I always hoped Oda would add more to the story, but nope.They even had a funeral with her body present to cement the idea that she was gone. (anime only? I forget.)

Did anyone actually find an explanation on how Kuina died or why Tashigi looks exactly like Kuina?(or whatever her name was)
Kuina fell down the stairs with her sword after Zoro got his ass beat by her.
Ussop always had the color of armamants with him its why he seems to be indestructible.
I’ve been of the theory that Usopp has been subconsciously using that since it was introduced. Heck I suspect old boy how conqueror’s haki hence why he was able to straight wreck Perona and probably control his plants like he does.

No explanation for why Tashigi looks like Kuina, though I don’t personally thing there needs to be: people are unique looking at people seem to think they are, even in a world like One Piece. See Duval and Sanji.
Of course, due to the fact that Tashigi looks like Kuina probably would look if she got to grow up, a lot of people have “guessed” that Tashigi is secretly Kuina or something from the beginning, especially since I don’t recall Tashigi’s background ever being explained (yet). I think this segment got even louder when it “recently” revealed that Kuina’s father has some connection to Dragon, especially when that segment probably overlaps with the one that believes Sabo is still alive; the Sabo thing is more likely though.
Ussop having Conqueror’s Haki is extremely unlikely, especially since Oda made a point of saying that he was able to beat Perona because he was too pessimistic/cynical for the emotional aspects of her powers to work on him unlike the Monster Trio. As for the plants, that’s also just been pointed out to the nature of those type of weird seeds.
I’ll agree that he’s doubtless been using Armament Haki to survive since the beginning, even with the other bullshit that (stronger) people in this manga seemed to survive without maybe having it. In fact, I’d go so far as to say that it’s been bolstered by all his initial lying nature given all the lies he told Kaiya to cheer up and to show off to those three kids. When combined the unresolved issues with his father, who’s on Shanks crew, he definitely has a reason to live despite being so “weak” compared to everyone else pre-time-skip and so cynical.
I just want to know…
When will he run out of plant seeds that instatly grow?
