Zoro so badass…poor Monet ;_;
“You’re a cold bastard arent ya”
"Thats rich coming from a snow bitch"
hahaha fucking zoro
Jesus Christ is Zoro down with the LBC? The harpy chick is literally laying back in the cut like he told her ass.
I also just realized: Tashigi’s “Sol” ability that’s in the MangaPanda translation is “Soru” in Mangastream’s translation. In other words, as with a lot of high-ranking marines, Tashigi’s learning some Rokushiki stuff, like what CP9 and Virgo/Vergo have.
“She was talking shit…shrug … so I cut the bitch”
“You cut her?”
“Fuck it, she wanna act like a man, she can get dealt with like one”

Naw, Shanks’ dream probably is something along the lines of Whitebeard’s, not to actually be Pirate King but something more personal, like seeing a better world or some shit like that. If he really wanted like you say, he would have gotten One Piece, he doesn’t give a fuck about the title of Pirate King or One Piece, so far his driving motivation has been his friends and Luffy’s progress. Ultimately, it probably might just come down to him having a moment where Roger mentions wanting him to feel the joy of having a prized student and that being revealed to be the origin of his actual dream.
Of course if that ever came out, it would be a sure sign the series is about to end or Shanks is about to die.
Edit: Also did no one notice that Caribou’s cover story is basically the inverse of Luffy’s at Marineford.
Shanks dream is to get killed by blackbeard so luffy can go nuts and become pirate king.
LEARN BASIC STORY TELLING.
Okay Tashigi let me down, hopefully Coby will be the bad ass I hope he will be. He’s gotta be! He’s been training under Garp for the past two years! He’s just gotta be! :crybaby:
(Yeah, I actually wish that Tashigi would be able to win against…someone considering she’s been beaten three times in this arc alone already, but at least she didn’t get completely curbstomped by Monet, who isn’t even a fighter.)
It’s quite interesting to compare the reactions in this thread versus the ones on Arlong Park from around midnight this morning. I’m not sure if it was just them having the MangaPanda translation first, but a lot of people seem rather disappointed with this chapter and I…kinda agree, which is odd; I definitely don’t agree with the (continued) cries of “Zoro is sexist!” there, though I can see where a few of them are coming from.
I just wish that Zoro’s motivation was dealt with a bit less ambiguously, even if it was only him saying to Tashigi firmly “no” that Monet being a woman wasn’t it; she was just outright weaker than him (as evidenced by THAT page). Of course, considering it seemed like he was toying around with her possibly still while defending Nami and the others makes Zoro seem a tad more arrogant and assholish than usual due to the ambiguity as well.
Oh well. That spread-panel was pretty great. I honestly thought he might have killed her even though “No one dies in One Piece.”
(I’m tempted to make a joke about how “her heart wasn’t in it.”)
I figure we’ll either go back to children at this point or back Smoker vs. Vergo unless we Buffalo and Baby 5 arrive already; I don’t expect them to show up until Caesar’s nearly defeated though.
Not surprising. Given how relatively weak Tashigi is right now, all this does is re-confirm that Soru seems like the easiest Rokushiki technique to learn.
Well, given everyone knew that Caribou was already a complete bastard, I think everyone was focusing on either on the fact that Coribou’s “hair” was finally confirmed to be an actual lizard…or were weirded out by the G5 guy suddenly being dressed in some akin to a bra-swimsuit with gauntlet-like stilettos.
Shanks could’ve gotten One Piece yesterday. Like Whitebeard and Rayleigh, Red-Haired seems to have no interest in becoming Kaizoku.
The reason why I’m interested in Shanks’ goals is because Oda fashioned Shanks after himself. So essentially Shanks serves as a guide for the stream of important events in the story. (i.e. When he came out of nowhere and ended the war or gave advice to Whitebeard not to hunt Blackbeard.)
Coby will become an Admiral. He’s probably a badass VA right now, but I don’t think he’ll actually put a hurtin’ on Luffy until he reaches his goal.
Naw, he would be Captain at this point, they can’t have him be a VA that fast or you short change all the other badasses that previously held that rank short of having a flashback where he goes ape shit on someone.
I guess that makes sense. I just figured he’d be so prodigious with his Kenbunshoku Haki that he’d skip rank fast.

Hm
Ha. I’m now just reminded that Ou means “King”. When Luffy says he wants to be “Kaizoku” in the subs the “-ou” is too subtle for me to differentiate, so I just assumed the spelling.
Such a badass chapter, motherfucking Zoro.
Most commonly said by Luffy: “Ore wa kaizoku-ou ni naru otoko da!” (“I’m the man who’s gonna be King of the Pirates!”)
Variation used mostly at the end of the ‘next episode’ previews: “Kaizoku-ou ni ore wa naru!” (“I’m gonna be King of the Pirates!”)
Regarding Zoro, I immediately went “Oh shit!” at Zoro owning Monet. New World was definitely looking like serious business for a moment, until it’s revealed that he didn’t use Haki in that attack. But why am I not disappointed that he didn’t actually kill her? Because Zoro is that much of a badass, that’s why!
I wonder which marine is going to be Luffy’s Garp: Smoker or Coby
Smoker is already Luffy’s Garp.
I thought Oh meant King. I mean Ou and Oh could be one and the same, but I wasn’t sure. I just know that when I watch Super Sentai, a lot of the megazords have Oh at the end of their names.

Yeah, I never notice the extension after Kaizoku.
I knew “Ou” means king from the word “Yonkou.” (4 Kings)
