One Piece Thread: Gear 2nd!

I was thinking Zoro was just waiting for everyone else to get out of the room so he could go all out, but Sanji and crew entered to interrupt that. Monet doesn’t seem like a pushover to just take out with no collateral.

Like I mentioned before the fact that Zoro took it upon himself to fight Monet means he’s capable of handling her standard impermeability. That said, I agree with the notion of each of the Big 3 being specialists of one particular kind. But Sanji’s Observation ability doesn’t hinder his Armaments ability, so I think it’s safe to assume that Zoro’s basic Haki skills should be enough to take on standard Logias. I mean even (albeit the new and improved) Tashigi could hurt Monet.

And to reiterate what Bious said, when discussing about Caesar Clown’s abilities Luffy comfortably stated that Sanji and Zoro knew Haki, implying he wouldn’t be a problem.

Zoro had to have color of armaments for a while at least subconsciously to have taken all the damage he’s taken.

The thing to take from the last chapter was that Chopper’s horns aren’t connected to his body.

Based on him being able to hear the breath of rocks and trees and shit, yeah probably is.

Add in Sky Pea where he was on the other side of the wall with the iron cloud swordsman and he was able to hear the guys breath and knew exactly where he was.

(idly wonders who could possibly win between Monet and Kuzan, just based on powers)

I can see Zoro specializing in Observation Haki just to make it all the more ironic how horrible his sense of direction is. I guarantee if that’s the case then someone, probably Sanji, is going to make fun of exactly that later on.

I still can’t tell whether that was an error, a one-off gag or if that’s actually supposed to be the case.

yeah, i know that, i was kinda making a joke about zoro’s amazing pathfinding abilities and whatnot, but meh, i guess it was too subtle.

it could be the case though, as The Damned pointed out.

Also, I just realized how the Monet/Tashigi/Zoro fight will play out.

Monet kicks Tashigi down some stairs, and Zoro goes into flashback-induced berserk mode.

I’M CALLING IT LIKE RIGHT NOW Y’ALL.

Same for Ussop. Dude survived from falling off Enies Lobby tower and got hit with a 2 ton bat twice.

Zoro’s “breath” skill is obviously C.O.O. and the fact that he always arrives on time even when he gets lost could be seen as an offshoot of his “ability.” Granted, that could just be plot destiny as well.

I think that was a gag, which I forgot to mention how hilarious it was. The last wall-breaking gag was when Going Merry realized it was freefalling from Skypeia and had a terrified expression on its face.

Apparently anything and anyone, besides Robin, can face fault in this series.

Mihawk doesn’t do that shit. All Business Erryday!:coffee:

(While looking on Arlong Park at the reactions–oh Enel–to this latest chapter, I apparently came across a post that said that Chopper’s horns coming off with his hat have happened before, but only like three times. So it’s just a rare but consistent gag.)

While also shifting through Arlong Park and the idiocy of half of the posts being about sexism, some dumbass calling everyone autistic or, unsurprisingly, people griping about Zoro holding back, there were a couple of interesting theories that I saw a couple of people put forward.

Those theories essentially work together:

  1. Zoro only blocking Monet at present because the others are around and she’s attacking them, so he can’t afford to miss, whereas she’s so sociopathic (or psychopathic) that she legitimately can’t understand protecting anyone you haven’t charged with protect. Hence her “concern” with stopping the children from being “taken” away and her being so ruthless about it despite the fact that she clearly seems to know they’re going to die otherwise.

  2. Zoro was also delaying because he wanted to try out Firefox’s Fire-Slashing technique, since he figured that Monet would be weak to heat and flame, which Nami confirmed. He just doesn’t want anyone else to be around in case he screws up.

Besides those two things, I feel like an idiot for not realizing that Nami’s attack destroying Monet’s wings means they’ve probably always been made of snow. That and that Monet is both supposed to be a harpy and an yuki-onna.

Haha.

Are there even any stairs around that area though? The only stairs seem to be near the part that they came from that was on fire, which allowed the gas to get in; I just realized they left the mini-dragon there.

I guess I could see her making snow stairs…

Sanji face-vaults all the damn time though.

Oh hell, why didn’t I think of that? Snow stairs make everything better!

Judging by her bird-legs I think she was just reconstructed like the rest, maybe of her volition, since she’s apparently very disturbed.

I’m assuming Law gave her the legs since she had normal legs in the flashbacks.

It’s a One Piece Tuesday folks. Get it while it’s hot!

Monet shit a little bit there but nobody could tell because of all the snow.

I have to give credit when due…in new Chapter, its obvious Zoro can hurt a logia. Easily. What’s funny is how bad he ‘sons’ the shit out of Monet…like he put thatbitch in her place.

Money didn’t get sonned, she got fuckin RAPED.
I thought Zoro had actually killed her till she got back up.
What’s funny is that poor Tashegi got owned yet again. Sure she got the last hit, but Zoro basically did all the work.
