Naw, I doubt Zoro has senses that strong to sense Sanji coming, especially since girl tried to kill his team mates three times in front of him during that exchange when he had chances. If Robin and Nami are quick enough to get hit in on her, Zoro could have ended her in a second, even Monet spoke on that being the case.
It is is either Zoro wonāt cut a woman or the almost unthinkableā¦ maybe Zoro doesnāt actually know how to consciously channel his haki into attacks and didnāt want to show it.
I donāt know how I feel about Avril Lavigne making a song for One Piece. On one hand, its cool. On the other, Iām reminded of an unspeakable dubā¦
This chapter had a few unexpected surprises.
Monet is absolutely ruthless! She mentioned before that sheās going along with things so Doflamingo will let her live, but she has shown off a monstrous side here. She seems to have no problem with drugging those kids or taking softball-sized bites out of peopleās shoulders (yikes). I certainly didnāt expect Tashigi to join in, much less be capable of doing THAT.
Also, Sanji has been hilariously dickish the last few chapters. Then again, when youāve spent the past few years trapped on an island with a bunch of hairy cross-dressers and NO WOMEN, I guess youāre pretty entitled to be a huge douche, now and then.
Iām pretty surprised at the idea of using Avril Lavigne to do the theme music for the next OP movie, but whatever. Iām pretty indifferent to her, save for that damn catchy-ass āGirlfriendā song (which was also popular in Japan).

I think that Zoro actually canāt control haki. Thatās why he canāt fight her. Tashigi instinctively knew that she had to help Zoro because of that. Also when Tashigi attacked Monet she was surprised by the haki attack.

Ha! I should have figured that what people would be talking the most about would be why Zoro seems to be holding back, especially since Luffy confirmed that Zoro had haki about a dozen chapters ago. Training with Mihawk for 2 years, learning Haki would definitely be fundamental, esp. for a New World First Mate. Heck, Sanji knows it.
Come to think of it, Zoro has also defeated Tashigi before in swordsmanship, but also did so effortlessly, without harming her. Hmā¦

I donāt know why people saying he canāt use haki on his swords when all heās doing is blocking with them. Would a haki infused block even do anything or be noticeable?
And why wouldnāt a swordsman trained under the best and also the 1st mate not know how to use Color of Armaments at this stage, especially when The Cook can use Armaments? In fact, Zoro was the first Mugiwara to visibly use Haki in his attacks. Asura anyone?
Now what is more logical is that her Haki is stronger, allowing her to bypass his Armaments (like how Marco and Vista couldnāt hurt Akainu even though they used Haki). I highly doubt that is the case though. The psychological theory is my best guess IMO.
The more I see of Monet the more I like her.

Being the first mate means NOTHING. The cooking using it has no bearings eitherā¦especially when heās in the top 3 as a fighter. Everyone knows that he knows haki to some degree, but that doesnāt mean he has Luffy or Smoker level mastery of it.

Yeah, I have to agree. Zoro may know about āHakiā but despite being as strong as he is, it doesnāt mean he has enough control over it to use it properly against a Logia. This is a guy that canāt even find his way out of the correct door in a straight hall with only two doors and as they said while introducing it, some people gravitate toward different types instead of mastering all of them like Luffy. Could be despite his nature, Zoro is more color of observation.
Which character said āUnless its Luffy, Zoro, or Sanji, if you see Caesar, run.ā Those three can definitely hit a logia now.
