Hmmm…I just realized, focusing on Alvida’s fruit’s possible potential distracted me from other Paramecias that might have even more “fun” applications at higher levels like, say, Hina’s or Foxy’s or Perona’s.
Oh, I’m not really worrying since I figure like kryonik above that Law will just fix the door if he can. Thing is, he’s really there only option unless Sanji-Nami was able to bring the Clima-tact or Smoker can nullify the poison smoke or gas with his own powers.
So my “worry” was a lot less “oh shit! people are going to die now!” and more “well, that seems an unnecessary complication. Good going.”
Besides, surviving horrific blunt force (and thermal) trauma is still rather different than being able to survive paralytic poison.
Maybe Luffy will suck it all up and blow it away?

I don’t know about that, it looks like Killer is the one arranging everything which puts an interesting spin on his character. I thought for sure he would just be some one dimensional character with zero personality sort of like Mr. 1
It also looks like Kid has been through some pretty tough fights with all those scars.
Kid has (presumably) lost an arm since we last saw him. I think the New World has been rough on some of these guys. We’ve already seen Law, a shichibukai who is stronger than people like Caesar and Smoker, without his crew and asking Luffy for an alliance. The purpose? To take down an Emperor. I’m guessing Kid and Killer also wish to make a big move, like taking out an Emperor, and they’ve found doing so without help to be impossible.

“Tetsuo” Kidd looks like he’s been through some shit, I’m sure harassing Big Mam’s crew might have a helping hand in gaining those scars (and maybe losing an arm).
Killer seemed to have bulked up a lil and is now sporting a beard. It’s funny how he’s the mediator, a nice balance to Kidd’s insanity. And it seems like Eustass’ bounty is now the highest seen in the manga once again.
If Trafalgar Law wasn’t any more broken, we now know he has true Prep-Time, such a G. Based on the confidence I’ve seen from Vergo so far, this might not be such a cakewalk like were lead to believe.
P.S., Remember, in addition to being able to cut fire, Kinemon also can create fire… Fire can melt things, like metal…
but Zoro was cutting metal since like chapter 100 or something… it’s funny how he asks if Kinemon can cut the shutter.
Yeah, zoro is obviously assessing his skill level before he inevitably decides to challenge him.
I seem to recall that zoro had been able to cut iron but not steel in early OP. There was a scene I think when he cut an anchor chain way before his fight with Mr. 1
Its hard to see in the drawing but it looked like Zoro and Kinemon cut the shutter down together.
Yep, that’s what they did. One on each side, with Brownbeard and his Ghetto Pipe of Justice smashing it in.
Zoro cutting the anchor chain is a filler-induced plot hole. It never happened in the manga, and his first time slicing through metal was against Mr. 1.
Another reason to hate fillers. He even said “I can cut through anything!” :bluu:
I was moreso hinting at the method by which they could repair the cut steel-clad entrance.
I’m still half expecting Zoro to put on the bandanna and cut the gas cloud talking about how he can hear its breath.
