One Piece Thread: Gear 2nd!

I love Zoro’s non-nonchalant nose picking as he calmly tells Sanji they failed at stopping the blob.

(I wonder if Kinemon’s going to get rid of the bigger/main Slime before they leave to go somewhere.)

Yeah, I can’t remember Zorro being so…calm in his jabs pre-time-skip, though maybe I’m just forgetting or unaware. I suppose it helps that Sanji isn’t in his actual body despite being there.

I still don’t see why we’re even assuming Virgo has an ability beyond haki, but okay, fine. You just mean a visual cue or something. I figured as much.

I’m aware of this.

I don’t think anyone was arguing this. Just that they thought that Blackbeard’s power was already the gravity fruit, which, for all intents and purposes (up to know, possibly), it kinda is. Well, that and Shiki’s power as Voodazz pointed out. Confusion is understandable, especially since it’s entirely possible that Virgo doesn’t even have a fruit.

I don’t recall this.

I see the invisibility, but forcefields seem a bit much, if only because we haven’t even really seen a “pure haki” blasted anyone, sensory overload of the King’s Haki aside.

Sube Sube still seems like the weakest paramecia though, especially since Absalom’s fruit already has invisibility covered.

If he didn’t imbue his arm and bamboo stick in Armaments Haki I would’ve thought otherwise, so unless he’s stacking C.O.A. Haki in different forms I find it easier to believe that he has an ability.

(Hmmm…now I’m trying to think of how many “parallel” powers there are.)

Forgot to say that the “CC just used Sleeping Gas” makes sense. Though why he didn’t everyone who wasn’t on his side seems…odd. I guess he could have just not seen those G5 marines as actual threats.

I don’t see why. It seems easier to believe that he’s just using C.O.A. Haki in two things, especially since he’s physically touching the bamboo stick, than believing he has some ability that translates to “gravity power”.

We’ve never seen anything that’s told us that you can’t “stack” Haki, so…yeah. It’s probably just to show how powerful he is, like with Pekoms wrecking Caribou’s shit effortlessly.

Never said it wasn’t possible. Merely saying based on what I’ve seen, it seems better to assume an ability, especially since they’re hardly in short supply in the upper echelon of OP world.

When I said I could care less if I was wrong I was talking about the character in the manga; I was definitely wrong about the Black/Hole gravity thing, good shit.

wow Virgo, this whole time mangahere.com translate his name as welgo LOL

actually Virgo is not right either… “virgo” was written differently in Japanese than his name… his name was more into Wergo with “vergo” as a pronunciation…

bah the chapter answers questions, but adds some…

So you guys make fun of me for trolling all of you but I just basically predicted both these main “Surprises” in the last two issues.

Fuck all of you and your inability to understand the manga for kidz.

lol Hamburger

WTF don flamingo?

This just gets better and better. Maybe we’ll find out what happened to Geko soon.

Wait, wait… So Vergo is also Joker is also Donflamingo?

Vergo is a subordinate of Dofla. Dofla’s code name in the underworld is Joker. Vergo is a spy who has spent 15 years infiltrating the Marines.

Ahhhhhhh. Thanks for clearing that up. The way I see it, there’s gonna have to fight Donfla now. I wouldn’t be surprised if beating him brought them closer to taking down that Yonkou they were talking about.

…What happened to Chopper? Did I miss something?

He must either be still in the bag, or doing reindeer stuff.

Also in that small section where that village person was talking about Vergo, it looks like there are french fries stuck to his face.

Who?

Only Oda would use an axolotl of all creatures in a manga. Bravo. Even more interesting is that this is the first time I’ve heard of a Paramecia eating a living creature and using it as a host, rather than the other way around. How is this possible?! Was the axolotl dead beforehand?

So Doflamingo > Vergo > Law > Smoker… Damn I knew Doflamingo was a top gun with an extremely broken fruit, but this guy’s guile is amazing.

Keep in mind

Spoiler

Donquixote mentioned whilst “killing” Moria that he answers to an even “higher” authority (which I suspected to be the World Government) but is that really the case? This guy’s been around since the Golden Age of piracy started 20 years ago. He must hold a lot of secrets.

The scope of the One Piece world is certainly impressive. I felt that Doflamingo might be the next major baddie, but based on what I’ve seen it might still be too soon.
