Fishman Island arc is going to look awesome animated. I was getting nauseous looking at Fukaboshi and his goofy ass face and colors.
Episode was all like “Oh sweet mermaids and boobs.” Then the fishmen and the princes show up and I’m all like who vomited crayons everywhere…

Should be soon, Oda/ SJ doesn’t take really huge breaks often, and chapters usually come out extremely early after breaks.
New chapter, Fishman Island part 2 maybe shorter then I expected or it will be continued somewhere down the line.

These past 2 chapters were awesome, great way to send the series into a new year.
(Oh, right. I didn’t post with regards to the last two chapters. Well, suffice it to say, I’m not surprised at the Akainu thing; I wonder who the new Aokiji is, if there even is one. Kinda surprised at Blackbeard becoming Rockman Charcoal…I mean Bass…I mean Megaman; besides that, I still tend to white shadow’s theories interesting.)
Yeah, the color spread for Chapter 651 was really nice and I must admit, as patience as I have, I’m somewhat glad that Fishman Island will look like it’s going to be shorter than I expected.Then again, I suppose I should have anticipated something like this happening given Luffy’s demeanor and the fact that anything happening to Fishman Island would mean that Jimbei might be ready to join them, which likely won’t happen for another couple of hundred chapters. Kinda weird to think that *One Piece *might go on for that long and longer considering…
Anyway, I laughed far harder than I should at both Luffy and Sanji knowing Zoro well enough to not trust his impressively shitty directional “skills” on page 4. I also find it rather funny that Baron Tomato uses gratuitous French and for some reason I never thought of something as simple as a Lion-based Zoan despite the first villainous animal showing up in *One Piece *being a lion. Also that I was surprised Big Mom lives up to her name in **that **way.
I have to wonder if they’re just going to leave Caribou like that, though. It seems irresponsible. Then again, it’s Luffy, so…

[details=Spoiler] Charlotte Linlin is not only huge but menacing. The fact that her digestive juices are spatter from her disgusting maw and steams hints that she actually eats her victims. I’m sure she has a Devil Fruit ability, but might’ve enhanced her ability to some extreme. That fact that she’s strong enough to hold her position with 3 other pirate beasts implies that however simple and crazed her mindset might be, she is definitely a fearsome foe.
The good news is, that there’s a chance that Luffy’s Vivre Card might quell the conflict before anything truly serious occurs. Luffy might actually be over his head on this one (although he will probably be stronger before he meets her face-to-face.)[/details]

Tomato reminds of mad Perot from cowboy bebop. I’m kinda creeped out by Big Mom we have seen the rationale yonkous like Whitebeard and Shanks now we have three batshit crazy ones running amok. I thought big mom would be a tidbit pleasant bitchy but pleasant but nooooo she is a straight up pyscho. I have a feeling her and garp have a past history. She got ticked off when she heard his name. Baron Tomago reminds me more of some Yellow Submarine-like 70s-pop British art than Mad Perot. I figure Big Mom would be somewhere inbetween Shanks and Kaidou as far as morals, since Kaidou seems like a menacing foe.
