I wish I’d seen more video of Felicia from EVO…especially in the exhibition tournament!
And the funny part is even the swimsuit costume has to add pieces of clothing on her.
Not sure if this has been posted, but here’s Felicia’s level 3

haha it please help me nice. i wonder how it going to be combo into in this game?
Wow, that looked useless. I know they haven’t balanced it yet, but it should either do massive damage or have some sort of time bar effect after it. Something like having multiple cat companions on screen like her Level 1 Super.
A bit off the topic, but since this is a Felicia thread, does anyone know what Felicia is saying during her rolling buckler move? I’m sure I’m remembering it wrong, its been a couple of years since I’ve played it, but it sounded like “haji kae”, or something similar(I fail so much at Japanese). I was just wondering what it meant.
I’m looking forward to using Felicia, but I dunno. Making her Sand Splash a charge move is going to make that move completely and utterly worthless.
I mean, the whole point of the move is to quickly counter & react to attacks from mid-range. You can’t do that with a move that requires at least 2 seconds of premeditation. It doesn’t do much more damage than a regular attack. It doesn’t have good priority. It doesn’t cover a lot of ground. More over, using the attack turtle-style wouldn’t work on account of Felicia’s weakest-in-the-game defense.
Either change the input to qcb+a, or get rid of it. As it stands, it’s only taking up space on her move list.
I’ve heard from those lucky enough to play MvC3 that she is a lot of fun to play as… but I don’t see a lot of people playing as her - for obvious reasons. Especially now that they’ve taken out her air-dash and double-jump as I’ve heard from recent reports, which doesn’t even make sense. Wouldn’t Felicia be more deserving of these agile movements than most any other character?
I agree 100% with you. As far as the EVO build looks, Felicia will be a almost useless character without air mobility. Already in the 10 characters that we see there are far better choices for a competitive match.
I comboed into felicia’s level 3. I don’t know what i did to do it, but it’s doable. Her level one cat helper super is real good.
and yes she needs an air dash.
her ground game is real nice, but the air dash characters are eating her for breakfast.
I’m pretty sure capcom isn’t going to keep this as is. They apparantly just took out airdashes of some characters to gauge player reaction, and probably to prove a point.
and yeah she’s is fun to play as considering I don’t like her character at all (I don’t care for darkstalker characters) but not many people were using her.
After reading that, I suddenly imagined Morrigan “eating” her for breakfast… if you get my drift. :lovin:
oh lawdy someone needs a bucket of cold water stat.
And I’m sure more people would play as her if she was mobile. An immobile rush-down character would be like Zangief doing as much damage as Roll. It just doesn’t make a lick of sense.
I mean, c’mon. At E3, we already could tell Felicia was going to be lower mid-tier compared to the likes of Dante, Chris and Deadpool. You don’t nerf an already nerfed character!
It seems her only use at this point is to build super, that’s it. Maybe do a few “Aerial Raves” or whatever the kids call it these days, by make sure you tag her right back out after you finish - God knows she shouldn’t be fighting anything.
Dancing flash is seriously nice. A favorite combo of mine was chain -> rolling buclker -> morrigan assist -> dancing flash -> chain -> rolling buckler -> dancing flash -> x-factor -> chain -> buckler super.
Sand Splash was actually really good. I never had a problem pulling it off when I needed it, and I was actually able to chain it a couple of times.
I personally LOVE Felicia, and I ran up a large win streak on Sunday simply using her on point.
I asked a capcom rep about it, and they said it had something to do with Marvel not wanting their characters to “be able to do something they couldn’t actually do”. They told me they were compensating for this by giving characters higher-mobility moves on the ground, or other methods. Felicia’s lack of air dash is compensated for NICELY by the distance Rolling Buckler covers. I didn’t ever have a single problem getting in, except for whenever I played Kurasa’s Iron Man. It was nasty. -_-
I always did like you.
^^ what about her please help me super did you get to test how useful her 3rd super is?
I was honestly never able to pull it off. I was told there was an issue with hit detection in this build so I couldn’t ever make it hit. Trying to hit it after a chain resulted in a whiff because I was almost too far back, and using a simpler chain didn’t result in enough hitstun to pull it off. Now that I think about it, I probably could have used it after Dante’s Jam Session assist.
well that good that means that they are still working on supers, the more i play mvc2 felicia the more i want her sand super but that okay if her supers in this game are useful. im just hoping her little assist kitty not useless.
It wasn’t just supers, hit detection is a little off PERIOD (but as I said, it’s being worked on). As for the assist super… oh god no, that super is incredible. I used it a lot. Nearly any time I had meter that little girl is out. She’s like having a 4th assist, and it makes her mixup fearsome. She’s like a ground version of Y-2’s Honda-bot in TvC, but attacks almost relentlessly.
haha sounds good i hope it does not change then by the way you making sound it going to be fun as hell for me and annoying as hell for my opponent hehe. playing Felicia in mvc2 makes me want to go try out the dark stalkers games.
I think that Felicia would be the best character in the game (yeah, I know, there are only 8 so far) if she had an air dash. As someone has probably already stated, she is absurdly good in DHC situations, not to mention her ball super (sorry, I don’t know the name) OTGs, which adds another way to start the hyperfest. She has one of the easiest OTG setups in the game (maybe Dante’s/Hulks are just as easy) and her normals have really good range. Her overhead hits from SO far and her air to airs are really useful. If she had an air dash her combos are so easily chainable that it would be safe to say that someone would be eating a huge DHC chain upon whiffage of anything except light normals.
That being said, maybe I just don’t know enough about the game to know how her lack of an air dash makes her unusable. I was the only one at my booth consistently using her. Now it’s probably because the EVO build didn’t allow for opponents to choose the same character, but I also didn’t see anyone else on other stations using her regularly. The characters with the air dashes where definitely being whored, along with the projectile/beam characters who could afford to zone the pixies out.
Oh, so, her Dark Force is in the game. I remember when I heard she had the “Kitty Assist” move, I kept asking if it was her Dark Force or they just renamed “Please Help Me!”, but no one ever answered me.
Yeah, if she has her Dark Force and it acts just as it did in Vampire Savior, then she could still be devastating. That’s good to know.
