Thats an old draft. Its already been changed.
So I made two drafts. The one with logos should be used for display inside stores. The one with characters should be used for outside displays.
The reason behind this is that if you are in a store most likely you wouldn’t be moving so fast and the logos are easier on the eyes.

But because the logos are small it won’t catch anyone’s attention from a distance. Since people are more concentrated in moving faster outside we might have more of a chance at drawing attention with bigger recognizable figures.

Copies from Fed Ex- Kinko’s (online) cost about $ 2.98 per copy, both documents in one order, Full color on 10 pt. glossed paper. It might be cheaper to separate the job order who knows? We would still have to cut the white borders but thats not a big deal.

I like the second one Josh. I know I said I’d give it a shot and I may still try but I haven’t really felt the drive to try yet, but I do have some suggestions for your second one. Delete part of Ragna’s sword so it doesn’t show up in Ryu’s face, and maybe try and move/resize things so that Jin’s face isn’t in Ryu’s knee.That kind of stuff. It’ll make it seem neater and less chaotic.
Yea i actually really like the second flier. I think if you just moved up ragna and subzero closer to the corner it would work out perfect. Thanks for all the hard work too man! I swear one day I’ll get paintshop and help out…until then however, Guile training mode ho!

However in an effort to avoid back and forth picture editing, uploading and posting, I will bring my gear tomorrow and anyone feel free to edit whatever you want. So Ryan and I were talking about alternate ideas for the flier the other thurs, and I have come up with a few themes.
One, I initially thought it would be cool to have the only background picture just be this madcatz (or generic) fightstick that had just been raged on to shit and was all busted up with duct tape, maybe smoking. I still like this one and might mock it up but I realized that it would be sort of difficult to convey to the casual passerby A. why the stick was damaged or B. what the hell a fightstick was.
Just now I thought up an idea where we have the flier look like an old boxing handbill, like one of those posters with the huge letters FIGHT OF THE CENTURY and SO AND SO VS SO AND SO. I think I’m going to try and mock this one up.
Also I think it may be a good idea to keep the design fairly clean with bold and simple lines, primarily so that it would translate well into black and white so we could potentially just photocopy a bunch of them for 10 cents apiece.
All that being said I really like the flier posted previously and think we should default to some variant of that if I don’t come up with anything special.
“No cussing” sounds really childish.
Switch it to something like "We ask you not to use profanity"
I know you’re trying to make it short and to the point. But you also want to come off as serious so [new] people will actually show up.
and once you guys get enough new people you guys should run ranbats for the game with the most interest (probably AE) and dedicate 2-3 set ups to that and one for whatever random game or for people to warm up.

I agree, nowhere on the poster should the term “cussing” appear. I already feel enough like a manchild spending thurs nights at gab’s trying to watch the s-bombs.
Your .02 has been deposited into my thought bank. it’s interesting how you think its childish. To me it sounds more authoritative and authority isn’t give to children. The most important thing is that its Gabi’s, owner of Olympic Cards & Comics, rule not ours. If people are turned off by something as simple as cussing then that’s fine. Whatever text ends up on the final product is up to the boss man, Aburnflags. I’m just the hand that moves the pen.
