Hey FinalLine, Portland Stream is up. Not sure how many/if these guys are gonna be at BFS, but [http://shoryuken.com/forum/index.php?events/best-bout-gaming-presents-throwdown-tuesdays-portland-every-week.26/’]http://shoryuken.com/forum/index.php?events/best-bout-gaming-presents-throwdown-tuesdays-portland-every-week.26/]('http://[URL) if you wanna start scouting.
I was actually thinking of bringing up the idea of having 3 setups. I think that way we could have a ‘lab’ setup, since I was testing blockstrings and stuff and it’s easier to have someone to try and punish them instead of me trying to record the blockstring and then trying to punish. And if we don’t want to go into the lab that’s just one more setup. I could bring my TV, it’s and HD TV so it isn’t lagless, but it should support VGA and honestly it doesn’t feel super laggy to me when using HDMI (But I do use it all of the time). It’s also a flatscreen so we could easily fit it on the table and use the couches. I bet we could get away with playing MK9 earlier on that setup since it will be away from all of the customers.
I’d like a third setup facing away, perhaps we could mk9 there but also having an ‘in the lab’ setup would be great the only problem that i can think of is the lack of another console unless you want to bring your tv and your console.
Armand said he’s bringing his 360. We have just enough 360 sticks if we count yours, Sam’s, Armand’s, and Josh’s spare that the twins bring.
Ok I’ll update the forum post with a picture, what should it be? Send me links!
So I’m considering sometime in the future buying a small tv and asking gaby if we could leave it there rather than hauling it back and forth. I used to bring my giant TV before when jay gave me a ride should I get a new tv for myself maybe I’ll leave that one at Gaby’s I’ll ask her about it this Thursday. But it would be awesome if Armand could bring his 360 and someone else provide a setup for it.
I’ll definitely bring my TV for today. There is a used electronics store in Yelm, I’ll check it out and see if I can’t find a small TV for cheap too.
If I find some good deals at thrift stores or yard sales maybe I’ll snag one up.
You guys are devoted & i know you guys will be successful in Battle of SEattle! You guys got this!
Anyway, i have an extra old 19" CRT you guys can borrow…Not the awesome pink one though…If Gabby says you can leave it in the store i dont have a problem with that…Remember CRT are the best setup cuz its lagless, not matter what LCD/plasma you have, there is lag.
Also, can someone please bring their 360 for the HDR setup for Battle of SEattle…For some reason, i cant play HDR without it being online.
If your looking for a tv don’t just pick any ol one up try and get one that has RCA(?) capabilities so we can stream from it! Neither tv at Gabi’s can be used with the roxio capture device so if we got a new tv that would be companionable it would be great we could actually try and stream or at least record best matches.
Wait, are you sure you mean RCA? RCA is the red white yellow cables iirc. Do you mean component (RGB)?
He means component (RGB) NOT composite (RWY). The roxio only accepts component video but we do have the Dazzle that will record composite. But I hold on to that one while Ryan holds on to the Roxio capture card. So yes he is looking for a tv probably 26" max with component connections, CRT preferred over LCD.
That’s what I thought. Anyway I’m out!
In case anyone was wondering, my new gamertag (which these forums don’t show anymore?) for xbl is “My Xeroxhands”. So if you see that gamertag, it’s a me; Mario.
Hey Sam, what was that tournament bracket thing you have awhile back. Can you send me a link where i can download it ASAP. I want to use that for my side tourney for Battle of SEattle.
Anybody want to compete in the HDR tourney?
Tio tournament organizer, pretty easy to use and is free.
Thanks, im trying it out right now…Seems easy enough…
tio is legit. Only good thing to ever come out of the SSB community
Good shit everyone who showed up for Battle for Seattle and supported us. We got on stream a few times and made a name for ourselves. Most notably Rcadios and Rising churchs showing in Super turbo, funny enough you two were the talk of the stream while you were on.
As for tournament rankings we ended up getting matched against each other allot, especially in Street fighter IV. Although the match between Xeroxhands and TheFinalline was apparently pretty hilarious. We did end up taking 2nd place (Vilmon) and 4th place (Finalline) in Mortal Kombat.
I got the feeling from everyone that we’re gonna try and show up to the Salty Runback tournament, which I’m totally down for. I want to run that shit back, also it’ll be our first AE tournament.
In other news if you checked the Northwest board today someone from Play Live is advertizing for a tournament there on June 4th, you KNOW we’re gonna have to show up and show em who runs this shit in Olympia!
First I want to say a BIG Thanks to josh :woot: for giving my brother, RisingChurch, BotPM, albernflags and I a ride to BFS or a ride back also thanks for the snacks and drinks.
The Fortune Cookie saying" A friend asks only for your time and not your money.“
My saying " The one that was booed will be known as a NOOB!!!”
I still like what Dirty rice said, you weren’t booing me you were saying Noobs name backwards.
Also Final Line, first you should get MK9 so you can actually practice and second I found this video of online tony using Kabals block infinite(which looks like its a kick punch into run cancel kick punch again)
But around 21:50 he starts mixing it up (which I assume will still be in the game)
