I know I can pick some up at radio shack, but I’ve read that they usually don’t carry the right size for buttons (and if most don’t, the one here definitely doesn’t), so it just isn’t as snug a fit. I’m still waiting on the seller to contact me back about my incredibly late package, but I’ll let you know if I need them.
It’s amazing that in all the years I lived in Olympia, there was NEVER a thread, and now that I’m a million miles away, I find all these people on here. My name is Drew, and I used to hang out at the Tilt a lot waaaaay back in the day, playing MvC2 and CvS2. I think I might know who a few of you guys are (hazy memory), but for the most part I doubt many of us have met. My girlfriend and I both went to High School out in Lacey, and we’re moving back to Olympia at the end of this month.
I play SSFIV mostly nowadays, but I’m down to play pretty much whatever the locals like. I’ve skimmed a bit through this thread, but still don’t have much of an idea of when/where you guys play. I’ve got a car, but unfortunately that won’t be available to me in the short term, so I’ll be relying on that good 'ole Intercity Transit to get me around. :sad:

Yeah, it’s cool to come back. Are any of the players from the old days (2003-2007) around? I remember playing Marvel with Dave and Jason and Saige, basically the whole crew that ran the tilt. I haven’t heard from those guys in FOREVER.

You coming from Texas dude! I was stationed at Ft. Bliss, El Paso. Its a warzone there now or so I am told. I stayed in TX for 2 years and I have been around… I hate driving cuz of TX.
Yeah, El Paso is a nightmare nowadays, but I was never there. I spent most of my time going between Odessa and Austin, where the worst thing that could ever happen to you is a tweaker mugging you for $10

So still no stick, still no contact back from the seller. This is just ridiculous. It looks like I’m going to be stickless for most of the rest of this month, possibly more depending on how things unfold. Despite the generous donation a Madcatz SE body with the PCB and some buttons (thanks again Ryan), I have no joystick, plus of course I have a PS3. Money is really tight for me right now, so I don’t think I’ll be able to purchase any parts anytime soon, and I may just have to get a refund for the one I ordered. So if anyone has any more donation parts or even a PS3 stick I could just borrow for a bit I would be incredibly grateful, but if not I completely understand.
I offered the twins if they wanted to borrow a stick from me but they said “Nah” so if you need one I will gladly let you borrow one. I will be at Lopez’s house not sure what time and my son is probably gonna be with me so I probably won’t stay too long, but I gotta give some love to Lopez and him and Jay want to play tekken so…

Oh man seems everyone is coming out of the woodwork. Don’t try and go to lopez’s tonight apparently they’re doing something with the house so we wont be doing any street fighter tonight. Thursday will be good though, we’ll have mvc3 and hopefully everyone can make it. Look forward to see a new face eventually (hi grimm) and i hope the twins can get something worked out with their car. But yea sorry no street fighter today!

Twins any word on your car troubles? Can you still make it thursdays or sundays? If not you might be able to work out a ride with somebody here so keep us informed!
I just got done talking to the twins over PSN they said that they were going to the midnight launch and tournament @ Walmart, I am assuming the Lacey one? I am guessing they have a ride or maybe they will catch the bus not sure. I can tell you right now that this game has something for everyone. My biggest fear is that WE are going to figure out this game alot quicker than MvC2. Shortening this games life cycle, but oh well.
so my brother and i went to the tournament at wally world and it was not big. we played the game for a bit and left. We did get one new person to try to come out to occ thou. looking to see you guys on Thursday or Sunday. I forgot first place did not win the game stupid. :mad:

I think im going to order a console converter to put MvC3 in that new arcade cab i have…Its going to cost me like $250+ though that’s without the game…

Jay and I had no idea there was a tourney at 10! We wanted to show up around midnight but were a bit late, we ended up talking to a guy there who knew the twins from the game stop tourney apparently you both beat him but he still took like 4th or something. Anyway he might show up on Thursdays.
MvC3 is pretty cool I’m way not used to the speed of it though, i was doing normals at street fighter speed, you know pressing a button and expecting something to happen, no no you press the button and keep going with the chain. So I’m learning the game a bit, its defiantly different but pretty fun.

Friday meet ups sound pretty awesome but i doubt i can make it, with street fighter thursdays and sundays I’m having trouble keeping up with homework as it is ><. But during break I may find a way to make my way over there and see whats up, I still haven’t witnessed the great rcadio arcade.
