Also mp.roll beat’s dashpunches and beat’s/trades with Ex dashpunch tho iam not sure if you can do this form reaction.
dash punch isn’t much of a problem as i mentioned above.
Maybe people already know this but blocked st.Fierce can be punished with Chuns Ultra. Something i found out the painful way ^^

someone shed some light on this match up plz.
So I played in the Play n Trade tourney today, my 1st ever…
Here’s a quick run-down…
Lost the opener 2-0 (2-0 and 2-1) to a decent Blanka. I missed an ultra which would have forced a third match…funny thing was everyone waching thought it was going to hit.
I then sent a Gief home (go me!) 2-1 (I won, he won, I won)…one of the rounds he won he hit an ultra…shit did more then 60 o/o damage. Crazy. I was able to hit an ultra off a whiffed green hand.
My swan song was a Rufus, and to be honest I was never even in it (2-0). He beat me handedly and I didn’t really have a game plan since my exposure to him has been minimal.
What I learned:
-Do not let him corner you, unless something changes it is hopeless.
-This player was good at FAing my jump ins…so that didn’t help my cause.
What do you guys think about treating Rufus like Zangief? Just turtle your brains out. The scarlet terror is actually useful against him.
Overall it was a fun day…And I got to test my Claw out against some great players. My wife even overheard people complimenting my Vega.

i think its the opposite for rufus turtling just ls him dive kick u all day which leads to u being cornered and u lose equipment. then sum how u get hit with a launcher into ultra, or tornado into ultra and boom ur dead.
Dive kick beats ST?
Is he out poke able? Maybe stick to the ground and air throw/jump st. RH when he takes to the air?

Hi guys. Didn’t see this on this thread so I’ll ask it now.
Yesterday in one game against Ken I was trying to get out of corner and Ken inputed his Ultra while I was in mid-air. Immediately after that animation I managed to stop that ultra due d.f H.P. Not even a trade but a clean hit.

I have only read the first 5 pages of this topic so if this is info that is already stated i am sorry and im going to read the remaining 10 pages tomorrow. I have fought many matches online now and i play my friends all the time and at this point i rather fight a zangief or sagat player rather than a good blanka. For the most part i get destroyed by Blanka. After many defeats to blanka’s i went to practice mode and recorded blanka doing a horizontal ball attack to see if there was anything i could do to punish it. Vega has good reach on some of his attacks but even so he cant dash in and fierce hp, sweep, or fk. One way to punish the horizontal ball attack is to have some meter built up and do a EX flying barcelona attack. You have to do this immediately when you block it and catch blanka still in the air after your block. And building ex meter against a good blanka player is not an easy task. He can keep vega away so well and against a heavy turtle blanka player you wont build ex meter easily. And online players know this. About 90% of the time if i choose first online my opponent immediately picks Blanka. Hopefully when i get done reading the rest of the pages tomorrow there is some info about vs. blanka matches because i really need the help against him.

In all seriousness I wanted to go to CTF, but I got to PnT at 12:30 and by the time I played my 3rd match it was 5. That coupled with the prospect of just as many people in a smaller space at ctf…I was like “Time to go home”.

I would rather face an army of Blankas then fight another Rufus. These last two days have really opened my eyes on this match up. It feels like Rufus has every tool to specifically highlight Vegas shortcomings, and at times this match feels totally un-winnable.
Wall dives? Nope. Caught in a dive kick loop/trap? Good luck. Vega has seemigly no way out of it without taking damage. ST trades at best so far, and if you flip your going to eat something on recovery.
Jump back FP worked everytime. Is this the new tremendously gay Vega match ala Honda in HDR?

On another note, I witnessed so much bullshit that I’m close to dropping Vega. It is just ridiculous the shit that happened last night.
